General Rules

• Only the Team Leader will need to register his guild/team and will be the designated person of contact.
• Your GvG Challenge registration is tied to your Guild Wars Guru forum account. This is so that you can edit your team registration if necessary. If you need to register for a GuildWarsGuru.com forum account you can do that here: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/register.php
• You must collect all in-game names and email addresses of your team prior to registering. Valid emails addresses are very important and necessary so that we can contact your team members if you win for prize distribution.
• You will need to register your guild for the appropriate division with the NPC Tolkano. IMPORTANT: Only players who register with Guru by July 11th, 2008 will be eligible for prizes.
• Guild registration will close Friday, July 11th, 12:00 PM (Noon) EDT/9AM PDT/5PM GMT
• At least six (6) of the eight (8) members of a guild's team in a monthly GvG automated tournament must have been a member of that guild for at least fourteen (14) full days prior to the announced start time of that tournament in order for the guild to compete. The other two (2) members of the team must be members of that guild but do not have to meet the fourteen (14) day requirement.
• Guilds may have different players compete in subsequent rounds but the same rule listed above applies. Only the eight (8) guild members who competed in the first round will collect any earned Tournament Reward Points.
• A guild must have at least six (6) human players available to play during a match (in which case the guild may also use two (2) computer-controlled henchmen or Heroes). If a guild is unable to field at least six (6) human players, then that guild forfeits the battle.
• Guild Wars Guru is not responsible for any mishaps or unfortunate circumstances that may occur in the registration process, during the tournament or aftewards.

Division Rules

The Guild Wars Guru GvG Challenge 2008 is divided into 5 seperate divisions.

Premier Guilds - In this category are contenders that strive to be at the very top of the GvG guilds. (Approximate guild rank range: top 50)

• Premier: Start Saturday, July 12th, 1:00 PM EDT/10AM PDT/5PM GMT
  Maps - Nomads Isle, Frozen Isle, Burning Isle, Druids Isle, Warriors Isle, Imperial Isle
  

• Gold: Start Saturday, July 12th, 12:30PM EDT/9:30AM PDT/4:30PM GMT
  Maps - Warriors Isle, Nomads Isle, Corrupted Isle, Isle of Jade, Imperial Isle, Isle of the Dead.
  

• Silver: Start Saturday, July 12th, 12:00 PM (Noon) EDT/9AM PDT/4PM GMT
  Maps - Druids Isle, Isle of Meditation, Isle of Solitude, Imperial Isle, Wizards Isle, Frozen Isle.
  

• Bronze: Start Saturday, July 12th at 11:30AM EDT/8:30AM PDT/3:30PM GMT
  Maps - Uncharted Isle, Isle of Jade, Hunters Isle, Frozen Isle, Isle of the Dead, Isle of Weeping Stone.
  

• Casual: Start Saturday, July 12th at 11:00 AM EDT/8AM PDT/3PM GMT
  Maps - Imperial Isle, Isle of Solitude, Wizards Isle, Isle of Wurms, Uncharted Isle, Burning Isle.

Predictions Contest

The Predictions Contest will open on Monday, June 16th, 2008 12:01 PM (Noon) EDT/9:01 AM PDT/4:01 PM GMT and close on Saturday, July 12th at 10:59 AM EDT/7:59AM PDT/2:59PM GMT. The entire community is welcome to participate by going to the Teams page on June 16th and selecting, by drop down box, who you believe will win the Top and Finalist spot for all 5 divisions. You will need to include your email address and in-game name so that we can contact you. Your Predictions Contest entry is tied to your Guild Wars Guru forum account. This is so that you can edit your predictions if necessary. If you need to register for a GuildWarsGuru.com forum account you can do that here: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/register.php In case of a tie, your entry will be timestamped so that the first correct guess will win our top prize.

Legal

Prizes

• Only one prize will be awarded per individual.
• No cash or substitution or transfer of prize will be permitted.
• If you are 16 years of age or younger at time of entry, you must seek parental permission to participate and receive prizes as we require identifying information such as your full name and address to ship prizes.

Submission

• By entering into the contest or registering you agree to all of the terms and conditions set forth.
• Only one entry allowed per individual for both the contest and registration.
• To be eligible for the Prizes, your entry must include your e-mail address and your in game name where you can be contacted. 
• We reserve the right to publish your in game name and your forum username at our discretion.
• We reserve the right to deny any submission to the contest.

Contest Winners

• The winners of the Guild Wars Guru GvG Challenge will be announced on Monday, July 14th, 2008. The winners of the Predictions Contest will also be announced on Monday, July 14th, 2008. The winning individuals will be contacted by Inde, the Administrator of GuildWarsGuru.com, by e-mail and will need to respond with their address and the full name in order to have their prize sent.  No PO boxes please. If you receive a request from any individual other than Inde, please do not respond. The e-mail will be sent from webmaster@guildwarsguru.com. We will NOT ask for your Guild Wars password.  Please do not ever give out your password to anyone.
• Contest Winners will be published on the GuildWarsGuru.com website and elsewhere at the sole discretion of the administrator.
• We reserve the right to postpone or delay this contest for any reason including overwhelming response or unforeseen occurrences. If there is a delay we will give an announcement.

No purchase necessary to enter or win. Sponsor, at its sole discretion, may edit and modify any registration before posting. Each Sponsor and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and publicity agencies and all of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns are not in any way responsible or liable for damages, loss, or injury resulting from participation in this contest or acceptance, loss, or use of any prizes awarded in this contest. You further agree that in any cause of action, Sponsor's liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the contest, and in no event shall Sponsor be liable for attorney's fees. You waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. You assume sole liability for injuries, including personal injuries and/or damage to property or prize, caused or claimed to be caused by participating in this contest or the acceptance, loss, shipment, or use of any prize awarded. Sponsor is not responsible for any failure to contact entrants, whether due to technical or human error. All of Sponsor's decisions regarding the application and interpretation of the rules are final. This contest is void where prohibited, restricted, or taxed by law.

We are not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this game or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this promotion. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, can disqualify, from this contest any person who, in Sponsor's reasonable suspicion, tampers with the entry process or the operation of the web site, or who otherwise violates these rules. Sponsor has the right to cancel, terminate, suspend or modify this contest, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice if, in Sponsor's judgment, the contest is altered, corrupted or cannot be completed as planned due to computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failures, or other conditions beyond Sponsor's control. Use of automated entry devices or programs is prohibited. Use of a false email account will disqualify an entry and the individual who submitted the entry. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
