Default What's the "best" sword+shield to get for under 120k?

Just got my primevil, finally, and will begin vanquishing so i nee a really good sword and shield that is below 120k can be a little above but not much.

You can get a good sword and shield for well below 120k, if skin doesnt matter to you. That is what make guild wars great, buying nice looking weapon doesnt make you better, just richer. just because someone bought a weapon for tons of ectos, it doesnt make it better, than a one you can probaby can get for under 10k.

As already stated, the "Best" sword and shield in guild wars are subjective to each persons tastes. Here's two links to a gallery of skins for swords and shields you can choose from. Once you've decided on the skins that you would like to use, then you just have to buy them.

Use the "Advanced Search" and select the correct search options you are looking for, such as which forum to search under and the dates. Under "Find Post From" it has dates. I find that searching back to threads at least one to three months old are good starting points to search. At the very least it will give you a rough idea of how much the sword and shield you're looking for may cost.

Here is a link to the advanced search:

Similar to what the above statements said, there is no real "best weapon," as it is entirely subjective due to the fact almost all swords share the same max damage and can be modded equally (exception being the triple mod/dual inscr inherents, but that's irrelevant and for collector's purposes only).

The following is a pretty much standard set of what you should be looking to buy:

Short Route:
-Purchase a sword from any Collector (see this) you meet. Look for the ones with max damage. They also sometimes come fully modded, sometimes not. If not, you'll have to either a) buy the mods yourself, or b) use mods you've saved up from salvaging.
-The same applies to shields.

Long Route:
-Go to Kamadan/browse GW Guru/Auctions
-Search for desirable skins (under 120k total)
-Search for the respective mods you need; the most universal are as follows:

-Sundering Hilt
-of Fortitude Pommel
-Strength and Honor Inscription

-of Fortitude Handle
-Luck of the Draw: (20% chance of 5 dmg reduction)

It all depends on what you find aesthetically pleasing, and if you can afford it. Most skins are within your budget. Browse the Warrior screenshot thread for some decent combinations. Not all pictures show off/are intended to present the weapon sets though.

Sword and shield mods are thankfully pretty cheap, so you can get a skin you like and comfortably mod it without breaking the bank. As far as skins go, just chase down whatever suits your personal tastes.

There is plenty of information available should you take the little time to find it.
