Weapon / Profession Guide? - Guild Wars Forums

Hi all:
I've been playing for about 3 days now and I'm a bit fuzzy on how the various weapons match up with each profession.

For example, it seems logical that that the Air/Water/Earth/... wands & staffs should be used by the Elementalist. But some others are not so clear. Also, some 'artifacts' state that they do 'air damage', for example; does that imply they are better suited to the Elementalist?

I guess what I'm after is a general guide on how you should match weapons & professions?

Other than having attribute requirements (which it will say on the weapon), weapons are not affected by class.

He's right. They're not. So just keep an on looking round and getting used to seeing it when it's not really relevant. =)

Are you saying that there is no difference about the color such as purple or green if the stats are the same?
