Paragon is currently probably going to be the class focused on after Dervish.
Not aware of any plans as to what GW1 is going to be called after GW2 comes out. ("Guild Wars" or "Guild Wars original", etc)
[He would] love to add new stuff to festivals. Personal fan of Halloween.
interesting stuff. kinda sad it hit GW2Guru first before here since it does deal with GW1 stuff. why its it that we have 2 separate forums again?

anyways, happy to hear they are considering 7 heros finally. might motivate me to play more and finish off some titles

looking over the list makes me think GW2 isnt close yet. i had thought maybe at the next GW1 anniversary we might have GW2 but after reading this, if they are trying to tie in more stuff from GW1 to GW2 then maybe Christmas 2011 might be the earliest for GW2. oh well.

Yea... maybe this is true but like you mention, the game is already easy as it is. I definitely think that adding 7 hero teams would increase the fun factor. I can finally try out all of those gimmicky teams that i have wanted to do in the past but have only been able to when i can get one of my brothers to go do a random vq with me (which hasnt been very often...).

7 hero teams would make the game more fun, hands down. If you think it would make the game too easy then you can always gimp yourself by running 5 or 6, but removing the hero cap would definitely be a positive for the game.

/Yes! to Derv/Para updates, new halloween/festival content, new items, Palawa Joko, Gwen/Kieran, Cantha content, GvG changes

/Nooooooooo to 7 heroes, new cons

If you want this game to be revitalized, isolating players from eachother with 7 heroes isn't the way to go.

You'd have better luck giving people only 1 hero and forcing them to interact with at least 3 other players for HM whilst allowing Henchmen to breeze thru NM.

Also nothing needs to be done to make this game easier via consumables. If anything, remove all partywide cons from the game or restrict them from elite areas.

Fix rangers. Fix Melee Hero AI, and ranged physical hero AI b/c they cannot compete with spell(spammer)caster heroes. Fix the stupid power creep of all professions and HM monsters. Fix Save Yourselves.

Also, why is Mesmer the new Elementalist? And the Elementalist the new Monk?

EDIT: Oh. And delete every single EOTN PvE skill.

7 heros makes me wonder if we will be able to individually flag all 7 or will the last 4 of the party be flagged like henchies are now?

I think people may be getting a bit too excited. All he said was open to the idea of 7 heroes. He didn't say it was in the works or even on the agenda. The fact that they're working on something else with heroes would seem to mean that it ain't happening in the next year, if it happens at all.

Can you imagine trying to flag 7 heroes? Giggle. That said, I'm looking forward to it - my heroes are quite a bit more talented than.. well.. others XD. I think we're at the point in the game where pugging is rarely done to the point that 7 heroes is almost a non-issue. Might make things easier for those who are having problems in PvE, but meh...

tl;dr version: kill most if not all the fun i/other people get out of the game.

Seriously, if i feel like talking to to people ill talk to my guild. If i want to get help with something, i get my guild. If i dont and i just want to h/h it(or if they acctually do it just h) i would like to have the best possible ways to do it.

There are a lot of us who can't usually play with other people b/c of real life stuff. I can rarely play with others because i often have to afk for some reason or another. My schedule is not built around guild wars - If there is going to be a family dinner tonight, i can't just tell the rest of my family to hold off on eating till im done vanquishing. If some friends call me and want to go out somewhere, im not going to put off going out till i finish the dungeon im in. I vanquish all the time and i often end up going afk 2-3 times throughout the course of the vq for some reason or another. There are many reasons why people have to choose playing with NPCs over other people, so there are no reason to make comments like this:

because there are often legit reasons why people go with heroes over other peeps.

I dont understand why it matters that allowing more heroes would effect the difficulty of the game. Giving access to more heroes would promote team strategy and would really make the game a lot more fun for those of us who can't party with other people. The possibilities are endless and allowing us to take 7 heroes would open up a whole new level of strategy. Plus, from a lore stand point, i think it would be fun to be able to use more heroes at a time since you have interacted with he heroes throughout the missionlines and you know their backgrounds and personalities.
