Ranger heroes and expertise

I don't think hero AI takes into account the energy reduction from expertise. I took a couple hours to craft two r/p beastmaster spearfighters who use Rampage As One, but they NEVER use it. And yes, they have pets. I deathleveled two white tigers for them.

I theorized that they never use it because it has a base cost of 25 energy. Very rarely will they use it as their first skill. But if they use another skill instead first, they won't use it. This should be fixed if it's true. If it's not true, then there still needs some AI tweaking to have at least half decent AI.

I hardly ever use Ranger heros anymore except as BHA interruptors so I can't say I've encountered this problem myself.

However, in general, whenever the heros aren't using skills the way you'd like (and there are lots of skills that they seem flummoxed with) you can always micromanage them a bit. In this case, making sure to activate RaO for them would not be too much of a pain for you. Just tag it as you send them into combat before they have a chance to waste the energy elsewhere.

I guess you could make sure its on the leftmost side of the bar cus thats the position the Hero AI favours the most.
I usually run Ranger Spearchuckers with [card]Heal As One[/card] so I can't really tell you how my heroes use it. Incase you want to give it a go, this is one of the builds they use:
[card]Spear Of Lightning[/card][card]Blazing Spear[/card][card]Merciless Spear[/card][card]Poisonous Bite[/card][card]Tiger's Fury[/card][card]Heal As One[/card][card]Charm Animal[/card][card]Resurrection Signet[/card]

The other hero uses [card]Disrupting Throw[/card] instead of Spear of Lightning and [card]Barbed Spear[/card] instead of Merciless Spear.

They use it really well. The speed boost from [card]Rampage As One[/card] isnt really needed in PvE so I think Tiger's Fury does just fine for the IAS.

heroes dont like using RaO,that's why.
i think it only works with them with a bow.
