I've finally gotten my Rainbow Phoenix and now i just don't want to part with it!!
Currently my only D/R build is Vow Of Strength. Rather than slapping charm + comfort animal on every bar i was hoping people may have interesting D/R builds.
Please post here if you have any, thanks

EDA + volley? vow of strength is good to, add in some PvE only skills, a few of them provide non-attack damage boosts.

EDA+Volley is very nice. If all you want is the pet though honestly I'd just slap charm and comfort on whatever bar you want to use since dervish skills don't really jive with a pet. Maybe some of the pet interrupt skills could prove useful in certain situations other than that I honestly don't know and that's fairly sad since Ranger and Dervish are my mains.
I think that even with the update to pet control and certain pet skills the pet aspect of the ranger class always seemed to me as more of an after thought, kind of like, "Ooooh well he's a ranger and they live in forests so sure he has an animal friend." As such it is hard to find synergy between beast mastery skills and any other profession skills with the exception of corpse exploitation in the necromancer's arsenal.

RaO is unusable for non-ranger primaries

ya i forgot RaO won't work but can't you argue the same thing for Mel-25 energy? people find ways around it..
Radiant armor +5 e scythe or have a energy staff just to cast the one skill?
as for EDA build...i think this could be fun
[skill]ebon dust aura[/skill][skill]volley[/skill][skill]"I am the Strongest!"[/skill][skill]mystic corruption[/skill][skill]mystic regeneration[/skill][skill]heart of fury[/skill][skill]comfort animal[/skill][skill]charm animal[/skill]
Just an idea

I dont really have one, but i would think something along the lines of:
[skill]Ebon Dust Aura[/skill][skill]Volley[/skill][skill]Crossfire[/skill][skill]Companionship[/skill][skill]Comfort Animal[/skill][skill]Charm Animal[/skill][skill]Zealous Renewal[/skill]rez
with an ebon bow of course

Err, what's wrong with the Vow of Strength bar? That build pumps out good damage, and gets better exponentially with other buffs.

There's nothing wrong with variety - until it cuts into effectiveness.
More to the point, you didn't state any reason for why Vow of Strength wasn't enough in your OP, so my assumption was that you wanted a *better* bar, as opposed to just a *different* bar. *shrug*
