Hero Discussion Forum
Heroes are a deep aspect of Nightfall, obviously. Could we have a new forum especially for discussing Hero builds?

I'd like some more feedback on this idea. See what the community thinks. So please post comments!

A sub forum in the Nightfall area would be good.

I'd suggest to first wait and see a bit. When looking at the Alliances sub-forum under Gladiator's Arena you can see that it isn't used very much. The discussion of Heroes may be even less than that.

im looking at both Glads arena, as well as campfire. Heroes will fit in either one, because they are pvp as well as pve, but im afraid it we make 2 heroes sections, it will be mostly unused

I'd say stick it in the campfire. Make it one sub-forum, like the farming forum. One sticky at the top for PvP Team submissions and another for PvE hero team submissions. I don't know that it will get enough traffic otherwise.
Since hero's (much like PvP in general) are all about team synergy, I think it'd be important to nip all the "Need a build for Warrior Hero PLZ" threads and limit builds posted to team arrangements. I think the topics and discussions should be centered around specific team builds or about hero usage in general. All professions specifc questions/issues could be directed to the specific profession subforum. This will make sure the sub-forum will stay clear of needless/irritating posts, and allow PvER's and PvPer's alike to find something of interest to read about. People can then leave feedback and discuss the viablility of skill/profession/equipment combinations for your three hero's while not having to sort through the endless posts of something you could find in another forum. I think that if it's monitered pretty closely, then the quality of the posts will be enough to draw traffic from all areas of the message boards.
My other idea would be to make it a Forum rather than a subforum (not putting it in either campfire or Glad Arena) with two subforums for Hero Battles and General Usage.

A hero section would be nice... or maybe a whole hench section, with sub branch to heroes and hero arena.
Or, have every class/farming section get a hero branch, and hero's arena go to gladiator as sub branch.
Eithey way, I believe we going to need one.

I was actually just about to post about a collective hero-build/discussion forum. Thanks for saving me the time :-)
I wholeheartedly agree, if that weren't obvious. Great addition to the forums (if made) imho ^.^

Effective hero builds are different from effective human builds; There are many things that don't work quite as well on a hero (or not at all), and conversely, many things they do extraordinarily well in place of humans.
Because of that, I could definitely see the use of a hero forum, in addition to discussion on the finer points of AI management.
