06/23 Regina Buenaobra: Xunlai Tournament House News

Hey, all. We've been in a lot of meetings and discussion, and we have some news to share about Xunlai Tournament House.

First of all, thanks to everyone for being patient while our team took a closer look at the issues affecting the recent Xunlai Tournament House distribution.

The May Xunlai Tournament House points distribution took place on June 18. During the distribution, problems occurred. Although many players received their points, some players did not get the correct number of points, and some players who voted did not receive any points at all. As you know, people normally get 5 points just for voting. Our team has been working to assess the situation and take care of the errors that caused the distribution issues.

We have the correct point distribution records of all those who participated in the Xunlai Tournament House for the May tournaments, and they will get the correct number of points, whether they contacted Customer Support or not.

We realize that the Xunlai Tournament House points distribution has been problematic in the past. We were faced with either taking Xunlai Tournament House down to resolve the issues, or running into similar problems with the point distribution in the next month.

We’ve decided to take Xunlai down to ensure the issues are thoroughly resolved. As soon as we have a good estimate on when it will be available again we will let you know.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

We posted a couple of times that we will let you know when we have more information about this topic. Unfortunately, we don't have that, so the statement "We are working on it, we will let you know when we know more" still stands.

We understand that this is an issue that you are interested in and that you want an update, but I cannot see how reiterating the above statement on a daily basis will do anything to remedy the situation.

I know that this is not the answer you all were waiting for - unfortunately it is the only one I can give at this moment in time.

It would be nice to hear something back from Anet at least a simple status update. It's been 2 months since it was taken down and no word yet about it, at least that I saw.

It's very irritating that someone who deals with 'communications' seems to never actually communicate anything to us. How about explaining why we have to wait months for them to fix xth when it was working fine before they decided to update it? Wouldn't it make more sense to reinstate the old version of xth?

Granted, something screwed up which caused many people not to receive points one month, that was annoying since I was one of those people. However, how exactly does taking the whole thing down so that NOBODY gets any points for months upon months help the matter?

It's been how long now, 2 months? I can only assume that the reason they haven't been able to fix it yet is that they don't know what is wrong. I would also assume that the reason they don't know what is wrong is that they have yet to make any effort to find out.

Of course I am no programmer so I cannot say that what we are asking for is simple or not. However, what really annoys the customers is the constant attitude of 'when it's ready' which reads to me and many others as a complete cop out. If you don't know, say you don't know but give us at least some communication as to why, or perhaps even your worst case scenario timeframe.

Regina, my message is this. Try to COMMUNICATE. Vague posts on a fansite which don't even allow our responses or questions is not communication.

We soon need the XTH back.

I really hope we get 100 reward point pr. months it's have been down as our suffering has grown since the XTH was taken offline.

I hope they dont bring back xth because it dropped the cost of zkeys and further messed up the economy, honestly, dont bring it back, its to easy of a way to get money which we dont need....

how do prices falling hurt the economy??? makes no since to me. i'm sorry but it is still free market. you can charge whatever you want for your items. it dont hurt the economy if prices fall it hurts the economy when crap goes up and makes things more costly for people.

but if you relate economics with our present day situation in the US. in your mind things are great, you like paying 3+dollars for a single gallon of gas, you enjoy paying 2x's the ammount for a head of lettuce, and you are happy that our electricity has skyrocketed in the last few months...... the economy dont suffer when things go down, it hurts when things go up cuz then people have to pay MORE for the items they want.

if you are a farmer who spends all day farming points for zkeys omfg go do something else to make money, i hear uwsc's are profitable.

all those out there who cry about the economy being shitty, learn economics, this economy isnt bad at all until the ectos go back up over 10k each and zkeys being over 7k each, black dyes hit 12k each. and quit complaining about the perma sin, he is the economies friend, and if you dont think so then you are a liberal who wants to charge out the arse for items that should of been cheap to begin with.
