I. SERVICE GUIDELINES / INFORMATION
__________________________________________________ _________________________________________________
Our Platinum Rule: Posters come before in-game PMs. If you want a mission, vanquish, or anything done, you really should leave a post. Otherwise, you're at the bottom of the waiting list no matter when you PMed us; as long as any poster is online, they have priority. Place an order through Guru and this will happily never be the case. I apologize if this is inconvenient, but them's the rules.

Placing an Order
After placing any order, please contact either myself or any other of our runners in-game at your earliest convenience. When making a request for a specialty service (FoW/UW/etc.) or something that isn't listed, simply ask for it by name. Of course, we cannot guarantee that we'll be able to do anything for you that isn't listed, but it never hurts to ask. When placing an order for Vanquishes, please include the following information:
Number of zones you wish to have cleared; names optional.
Your in-game name.
Whether you plan to AFK.
Your time zone.
When placing an order for Missions or Quests, please include the following information:
Name and price of each mission/quest.
Total price of all missions/quests without AFK.
Your in-game name.
Whether you plan to AFK.
Your time zone.
When placing an order for Outpost Runs, please include the following information:
Name and price of each run (if listed).
Total price of all runs requested.
Your in-game name.
Your time zone.
Remember: Orders made through Guru will always take precedence over those made directly in-game.
Payment: How and when?
The follow currencies are accepted in exchange for our services:
Cold, hard cash
Ectoplasm (value: 7.2k/ea)
Sweets/Alcohol/Party Points (value: 100g/ea) - Retro Samus ONLY
The value of Ectoplasm may fluctuate as often as a few times a day. Any additional costs are bundled into the end-total of the zone or mission; everything is paid together at the end of the run or vanquish. We trust our customers, so don't be the guy (or girl) that screws us and forces a policy change. Payment for specialty services may adhere to slightly different rules. All payments are made in advance if you're going AFK indefinitely. If AFKing a vanquish, the average foe count is used to find the price of the zone (plus any other fees) and no more or less will be paid for that particular vanquish -- usually. If you'll only be gone for a short amount of time, or you are at the computer but simply won't be participating in the clear, you are welcome to pay afterward if that's more comfortable for you.
If you're going AFK... Bring a vampiric weapon and lose the armor. Or put on some superior rune-heavy digs. Whichever.
Leaving Feedback
If/when (please do!) leaving feedback after a run, please DO NOT make another post in order to do it. Although I appreciate the thought, all that accomplishes is earning yourself an unwanted face to banhammer encounter with one of the moderators. Instead, edit your original post with the review. Please also remember to include the name of your runner in your feedback. Thank you vurry much.
II. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
__________________________________________________ _________________________________________________
Q. Hey, your prices are a little high compared to some of the other services. Didn't know if you knew.
A. Sure, I noticed. We're also a somewhat understaffed service and have collectively limited playtime. On the other hand, we're extremely experienced and have practically a 0% chance of failure for any listed service. We tend to offer a lot of discounts and it's not quite as important to us to have lower prices and huge numbers of customers, anyway. I know a few services that do that. They have neither nearly 100% positive feedback nor an especially involved leadership. You're guaranteed a short-order response and professional runs here. Regardless, we are looking into lowering some of our prices at the moment.
Q. Okay, so can I ask what exactly you base your prices on then?
A. Vanquishing rates are set to cover caravan/travel time compensation and consumables if they happen to be needed. AFK fees are now separate. Several factors are considered when pricing missions: mission length, objective difficulty, size of margin for error for tag-alongs, average mob/boss strength, whether the mission is in any way enjoyable, and the demand for runs. AFK fees for missions are set so that, typically, more difficult missions have higher fees than easier ones. To be quite honest, you're paying a premium for specialty services. We're good at the ones we offer, we burn consumables, and you get a lot back from them. You're also paying for our time and experience. Time is valuable, especially when there's little of it to go around. As well, we've got a wealth of experience in this "industry" and customer feedback is overwhelmingly positive, so you know that you're getting what you pay for.
Q. The prices of some of the services I recently ordered have been changed, but my order hasn't been filled yet! Do I pay the new or old price?
A. This may actually happen quite a bit. If demand for a particular service is too high to keep up with, prices will go up to help stem the inflow of orders. On the other hand, we also feel like certain prices may be too high sometimes, so we may decide to lower them from time to time. If the price went up, you pay the old, lower price. If the price went down, you pay the median of the new and old price--if a mission that you ordered goes from 20k to 16k before you receive the run, you'll pay 18k instead of 20k.
Q. Do you take special requests? Like if I really need Mission X done and you don't have it listed, can I ask anyway?
A. Yes and yes. We take special requests into consideration, but whether we're able to accept the order or not cannot be said until it's actually placed.
Q. When will my order be filled?
A. As soon as we get to it, I promise. We're a small service, so things can get a little slow sometimes as we try to work our way through the many, usually quite large orders that we get both here and in-game, but don't worry! We're working as hard as we can to get to your order, but please remember that we're only human. We have lives and often have things to do for ourselves in-game as well, so we can't exactly be available to render service all day, every day. Bottom line: we can't always get to your order right away; it could easily take anywhere from a couple of minutes to several days. Please be patient!
Q. I placed an order yesterday and still haven't been contacted. What gives?
A. You placed it yesterday. If you haven't got the time or patience for a little waiting, please don't place an order here. We usually respond within a few hours of your order being placed (historically we've actually responded to a lot of orders within minutes), but on the off-chance that it takes a little longer, please don't get testy with us. You'll be contacted before an absurd amount of time has passed (3-5 days) if there's a serious hindrance to our ability to get to you, such as school or work, and you'll be given an rough estimate of when your order can be completed and offered a chance to drop the order if it's simply not working out.
Q. What happens if I disconnect in the middle of a service? What happens if my runner disconnects?
A. If your runner disconnects, the service will be completed at no additional charge. If you disconnect, it's a different story. If you drop out in the middle of a mission, it can go one of a few ways. Please refer to the spoiler tab below for details:
If more than 90% (as in, it's practically the end) of the mission has been completed, you will be charged the full cost of the mission, plus AFK fee if applicable, minus 10%. Example: You disconnect sometime between the death of the 5th Dryder and 6th Dryder in the Gate of Pain (HM). 16k + 2.4k AFK fee (if applicable) = 18.4k * 10% = 1.84k and 18.4k - 1.84k = 16.56k, so you will be charged 16.56k for the previous attempt.
If between 75 and 89% of the mission has been completed, you will be charged 3/4 of the cost of the mission, plus the adjusted AFK fee (if applicable). Example: You disconnect four or five minutes into the keep defense of the THK (HM) mission. 23k * 75% = 17.25k + 2.5k AFK fee (I/A) = 19.75k, so you'll be charged 19.75k before you can receive any further service from us.
If more than 33%, but less than 75% of the mission has been completed, you will be asked to pay half of the cost of the mission, plus the adjusted AFK fee (if applicable), before another attempt is made. Example: You disconnect shortly after the second Dryder's death in the Gate of Pain (HM). 8k + 1.2k AFK (I/A) = 9.2k is your total.
If less than a third of the mission has been completed, no extra charge will be made.
In the case of vanquishes, you will simply be asked to pay for the kills that were made. Exceptions may be made depending on zone size and how much of the zone was actually cleared when the disconnect occurred. These are made at your runner's discretion.
Disconnecting during a specialty service is another thing all together and is a bridge best crossed if it's ever come to.
Fair is fair, which is why we're unable to render any further service to a customer if a disconnect occurs and the charges aren't paid. It's typically easy enough for a runner and customer to come to an agreement between themselves upon how far along the mission was and therefore how much the charge should be. However, it's perfectly reasonable to contact myself or one of my partners (co-leaders) in order to get an objective decision on the matter.
Q. One of your runners was rude/blatantly disrespectful/especially unhelpful. What do I do?
A. Well, before you run off to the forums to give us a poor review, please contact either myself (Christophe Van Fray in-game) or Shanked X either in-game or here on Guru. If anyone's able to resolve an internal issue, it's a service leader. In light of that, I'd much rather be told about one of my runners' poor behavior or any other issue so that I can deal with it and console or compensate (if needed) the injured party. Plus, we're really nice up the chain of authority. Promise.
