Default Rilohn Refuge Spider Farm

Ok i've been farming these spiders for a while now ever since i've seen some european guy farming them on youtube. It's a very simple farm and doable with any profession. The only skill you really need for this build is Spiteful Spirit and optional skills for running and Reckless Haste and Suffering help. I know some people already know about this farm but I just added because I didnt see anything about it on here and i was bored.

The build I'm running includes the skills (N/A)
Spiteful Spirit (E)
Suffering
Reckless Haste
Dark Espace
Dash
Shadow Refuge
Shadow of Haste
Well of Suffering
Attributes include-12 (+4) Curses, 8 Death Magic, 8 (+1) Soul Reaping 4 Shadow Magic. The weapon I use is a Stonereaper but any staff would be fine.

Start out by going to Rilohn Refuge. Go into The Floodplain of Mahnkelon. Go to the left, and run past the first group of enemies. Stay to the right and cast Shadow of Haste if you have it. Keep running to the right staying along the wall untill you aggro the spiders. If you have Shadow of Haste either wait for the skill to end or cast another running skill. If you dont have shadow of haste then run back trying not to die untill you loose aggro. If u die dont go past where you aggroed the spiders because you can loose most of the spiders this way. Let all of them buch up and then go aggro. Postion yourself behind the wall to the right so you don't take any dmg. Cast SS and any other skills on the boss and wait for it and all the others to die. Cash is ok lots of dyes can usually sell green bow for about 5k, a good alternative to other farm builds.

Heres some pics (hope they work)
Attributes and Skills-

Where to cast Shadow of Haste-

Where the spiders spawn-

Where to postion yourself-

Damage-

Like I said you can do this with any profession just need Spiteful Spirit, but to do extra dmg. you can add Awaken the Blood.

PM me if you have any questions my ign is Chris Dub. Hope you liked my guide (first one ive ever made) good luck.

I think EoE Bombing with E/R is easier.

the e/a ms/savannah build is the fastest. e/r takes too long with the setup. I use an n/a, as every run takes approx 1 min 30 sec.

N/R - best of both worlds.
Spiteful Spirit (E)
Reckless Haste
Edge of Extinction
Storm Chaser

No other skills required.

There a much easier way to position yourself too. Loop around the back and stand on the bridge above them so their arrows get obstructed (I even did this as an W/R using tripple chop/Cyclone Axe to get my treasure hunter title up during the easter weekend )

Where is the build to farm these spiders with an E/A that uses ms and savannah heat?

Fastest killer I've seen is E/R, using EoE with Sandstorm, Churning Earth, and Earthquake. Everything dies in less than 10 seconds.

I am a Me/N, and use:

Spiteful Spirit
Price of Failure
Archane Echo
Defile Enchantments
Desecrate Enchantments
Auspicious Incantation
Distortion
Illusion of Haste

Go Auspicious, Arcane, SS, SS, I was just trying to maximize energy management. It kills very quickly, I would guess . . . in about 15 seconds, another few more for the boss. I don't like Reckless Haste since it costs more energy now, and this build was helped alot when SS was lowered to 10. Anyways, fun easy farm, just got a Black Dye and Silver dye in one run about 5 minutes ago.

I would have thought shockwave, aftershock, crystalwave, tenai's crystals would be faster.

Anyone tried this one? I would, except my ele hasn't been through factions =(

You'd be better off with:

Edge of Extinction
Pious Haste
Heart of Fury
Heart of the Holy Flame
Chilling Victory
Ermites Attack
Mystic Sweep
Ermite's Zeal

Stand on top of the bridge and scythe them to death.

How can you outrun the Rampaging Beast in Hard mode? Even with 33% Haste they dont seem to break in HM.

I have seen a video of it being done on youtube, I suppose search there and see if you can pick out a tactic from the video. Maybe also use the movement to your advantage, like waiting for them to get as close to the rez shrine as possible before running through, maybe they will break aggro sooner.

Try planting a stancing koss in the middle of them before running through.

in Hard Mode, I believe SS is still the best kill mechanics. If you nuke them they scatter.

i use both dash and dark escape to get past them... right when you agro the group hit dash, which lasts 3 seconds, just as it's about end hit dark escape. - escape isn't fast enough to break agro, but it is enough to keep them from gaining on you - as soon as dash is recharged, hit it again and you will be able to break agro, then you can refuge the health you lost back.

it doesn't quite work 100% of the time, but for the most part you can out run em. when the drake spawns, he'll sneek in a knock down which will screw you over - and if more then 2 of the mesmurs spawn you sometimes don't live long enough to break agro.

i've posted a guildies build for useing an El with the sin skills in another thread, but figured it should go in here as well

[skill]Fire Attunement[/skill][skill]Glyph of Renewal[/skill][skill]meteor shower[/skill][skill]Rodgort's Invocation[/skill][skill]dash[/skill][skill]dark escape[/skill][skill]shadow of haste[/skill][skill]Immolate[/skill]

it's not as fast at killing the mob as SS is, but it's still pretty quick, a run is still around 4-5 min. without shadows refuge for healing up from the hex's of the first group, you do die a little more frequently too. basicly stay on meteor shower and rodgorts untill everyone but fastfoot is dead, then spam immolate till he drops.

Does the technique only works with melee/archer mobs? I wonder if this will work against Spellcaster/Hexers mobs if there is a way to negate their spell.
