Default I plan on playing and a lot at that. Anything I should know?

A new member has joined your ranks and he is wondering if their is anything he should definately know before playing Guild Wars. I played the first free beta in 2004 and at the time I wasn't thinking too hard about buying guild wars, but as the release date draws closer I am seriously considering it. Actually, I am almost 100% positive I am going to buy it and more than that I will pre order it to get the special items and the pre order package. So, fellow Guild War'ees, is there anything I should know before I jump right into the game? I have read a few things about the game from the link provided in the post entitled something like, "Hi, I'm new". I don't remember the exact name of the post, but I think if memory serves any of you right you will remember the post assumingyou were involved with it.

Thanks for reading!

Welcome aboard!

I to had no real interest in this game until I played the big World Preview Event, and now I am hooked.

Things I wish I knew before I started playing Guild Wars... Hmmm... I wish I knew it would ruin every other game with a long level grind and poor graphics.

Classes are very well balanced, so just pick one you like. Lots of good websites out there but best thing to do is try it for yourself. Find a good team, good guild or at least some good friends.

Other than that, just have fun.

I love the idea of just having fun. That is exactly what I try to do all the time, but everyone knows that these games get really competitive sometimes.

I also played in the World Preview Event. I had a great time with a friend and I. I think I was a Warrior/Monk and a Warrior/Ranger. I think I tried them both. Both worked great. Whoa, I got a little bit off track.
