Kanaxai is worth around $6,000 USD. Expect more of this.

No. He's right. There was a WoW character sold a few years ago.
It was basically one of the best geared toons on the planet at the time.

It that sold for less than $10,000, Kanaxai will not sell for anywhere close to that much. I doubt Kanaxai would sell for more than a couple hundred US.

Kanaxai's ingame value is at least $5000 in ectos. Why would it go for a couple hundred USD?

It's pretty well established at this point that a clean Kanaxai is +/- $5,000 USD. I'd believe reports that the price has increased. I don't follow RMT pricing closely.
Limited supply and cachet make some people do things that look pretty silly to most people. There are a number of people in major U.S. cities that drop thousands of dollars on a single outfit of clothing. Yet that clothing is made from the same fabrics you and I wear at a fraction of the price.

To get back on topic, these are the types of things I fully expect to see leading up to GW2 unless something is done.
With botters running amok, ectos are being sold for RL money more often. Other items are also being sold for RL money, such as the new minis that botters have been farming for and similar items.
This will only get worse without some sort of action.

Agreed
I stopped playing for an extended period of time and this kind of thing is common in every other mmo that I played which was pretty sick after being use to playing GWs, early on they did a great job of keeping the cheats out of the game {reporting a player for a gate glitch that we didn't know what happened until watching on obs mode then finding out that him and everyone in that GvG against us was banned the next day always made GWs seem above other games} but coming back to see bots gone wild in GWs was disapointing to say the least.
One can only hope that GW2 will be more in line with how GWs was ran originally but they cheats are always going to be trying reguardless of what they do.
