Default PC Gamer Announces C4 info for next month!

Quote: "But we'll be ----ed if we don't blow your socks off next time! We got some info on the down-low about your favorite subscription-free MMORPG, Guild Wars... The hell, you say? Well, you'll just have to wait like the rest of us [and by us, I mean people who don't work at PC Gamer...]"

It looks like the May issue is going to have our finally awaited info on C4! Which means the release won't be happening for a while. If you want to see the quote for yourself its on the Backspace page 104 on the bottom in the green box, there is a little fluff I left out but nothing I think to relevant.

woo!

Well, well, this should be interesting. A lot of people have been waiting for a long time for this.

Someone pointed this out in Q&A a few days ago but he just quoted the same ol' tired rumors we been hearing so we just said it was probably false. But maybe it actually says something worth buying and that guy was just confused...

You said we'll get info in the May issue, but the title says next month! Did I miss something?

When you are a subscriber you get them months in advanced so people have April additions already and will get may ones during march.

Please, PC Gamer most likely has exclusive rights to any news involving the next campaign. That means Gaile's lips, or fingers, are sealed. She definately doesn't suck at her job - stop shooting the messenger.

Guys, it could be something else other than C4 too. Notice how the magazine didn't say anything specific at all. Hard mode, maybe?

That's sillier than claiming NCSoft's financial statement is referring to an auction house.

NO ONE (outside the diehard GW community) CARES ABOUT HARD MODE!!! It will NOT sell magazines, it will NOT be previewed, because most mag readers wouldn't read it! I can't think of any free update (including the radical HA changes) that ANY mag would care about! (Minus something like the NGE of SWG, if you're lucky)

It's Chapter 4, or something else you can buy. Amen!

Vitis: It's not uncommon for studios to strike deals with major gaming mags: in exchange for exclusive update news, the game gets a splashy layout. PC Gamer also revealed Planetside's (horribly unbalanced) Battleframe Robotics before the devs did, only PS's devs told as much on the forums ("We'd tell you, but ya see we kinda have this deal...")

The next month of May issue is June.

Or OP missed something and read March as May and the next month of March is April.

I think the latter make more sense.

Oh please, May issue is coming out next month. There's nothing strange in it. I think I see someone on this thread explained how this stuff goes already?

So yes, the issue with the teaser ("We'll have something about GW in next month's issue blah blah") is "April" issue. So, the "next" issue is May, coming to the subscribers next month.

...and I'm from Thailand. I know this stuff because I "read" this thread.

The may issue of PC Gamer will come out in the midlle of March or late March.

And that issue of March is the May issue.

It's something that the magazines often do... So, we are in february, more 2/3weeks and we will know the news.

CGW previewed Factions before any information was publicly released by Anet.

The same happened with PCGamer and Nightfall.

I see no reason why this trend wouldn't continue--I would place money on this being Chapter 4 news.

It's worth pointing out as well that the OP is on about the America version of the magazine, so the European one will be different.

Only really matters if you were planning to buy it though.
