Number of current auctions incorrect - Guild Wars Forums

In the auctions, when you look at a catagory it has a number of current auctions after it. Over the last week this number has been steadily increasing. It shows about double the current auctions that exist. There was a big problem a few months ago with this but it resolved/maybe was fixed. It has started again.

Yes, I emailed them about this too and it has appeared to be fixed again. HOWEVER, now I am losing 3 auctions a day. They just disappear without a trace. Happening for about 3 days now. Rewrote 4 auctions for items I found that had gone missing last night. Now, I've lost another 3 auctions today, but the ones I reposted last night are still viable auctions. Big hassles hunting down which items are being lost if you have a lot of items on auctions.

Got 2 of them back, but it was the wrong two...now I have auctioned items duplicated. Honestly...are they maintaining these things manually?

Hello, can we please have a fix to the auctions that disappear please? It's worse then the duplications errors. Duplicates can at least be deleted, but the deletions have to be figured out which item has gone missing then rewritten... total PAIN

Even worse... auctions get deleted while others are being duplicated... looks like you have all items listed and then find out that many are gone and then the rest doubled... ack!

Perhaps I was missing any closed auction (and duplicates ofc), but no problems with active auctions at all...

Could it be that it has to do with the Auto Relist option?

Could be...but if auto relist is the culprit...then fix it. Honestly its like someone is maintaining the list manually on the sites end...and that someone is drunk while doing it. Right now, for example, the total number of auctions in one category is...ready...-18. Thats MINUS 18 auctions...which is ok if we were living in Bizzaro World or one that was taken over by that little white haired prankster Myxstlplyx (sp?) but not good otherwise. Has there even been a response that theyre looking into these problems?

I guess I am clueless about what you mean when you say lost auctions.

The number of auctions in a category is meaningless, has always been meaningless. That number does not auto update in any realistic way it never has since day one of using this software.

The only instances of auctions being "lost" is after they are completed, if either the buyer or the seller mark them as deleted, they will be removed from your history when the automated cron job runs. Once they are gone, they are totally gone.
