It's mainly... they all die. I watch them go, their names go grey, then they die.

You aren't taking the quest before sending your heroes off are you?

Use Shadowform so they can pass the enemies before their names go grey. And use their run skills.

Then I see no reason for your heros to die once you get past the initial spawn and that's not tough to do.

Just for the record guys....
..... I figured out how to do this with the Luxon quest on Mount Qinkai too.
And honestly, if it wasn't for Linksys showing us how to do the normal FFF this way, I wouldn't have figured it out.
Thanks Link! ^_^

I use Assassin/Elementalist or Elementalist/Assassin for:
[skill]Shadow Form[/skill][skill]dash[/skill][skill]Storm Djinn's Haste[/skill]
Works pretty damn good.

When I send a hero straight to the stairs, I have to flag him on the little island on the way there. Then wait a bit, timing it with some run skills, then flag him to the stairs. Otherwise the hero seems to get stuck somewhere.

I have binded my numeric key pad this way :
7 8 9 > Order hero 1-3 to use skill 1
4 5 6 > order hero 1-3 to use skill 2
1 2 3 > Command hero 1-3
0 > Command Party
So you just have to hit 789 and 654 to renew skills.
Press 1-2-3-0 to select the right command.
No need to move mouse except to set flags. It is lot easier, faster, and require even less brain to do.

If you can consistantly run the quest zone to reward in less then 1 minute your doing pretty good.
I was with a runner last night and he was asking what people look for in runners. This is what I told him.
- speed , anything around 1 minute is fine by me
- consistancy, deaths happen but shouldnt be more then 1 or 2 per 10k ; if they do you shouldnt be charging
- death recoup, how well they do recover if they do have a death

Just curious, what is the fastest runners or is it more of all preference? Since theirs e/a runners, w/a, a/w, r/a, a/r etc.
I got used to w/a and a/ws with dark escape, dash, sprint, enraged charge just because I saw the person who would run me would use them. But I am just curious what would be the fastest possible combination. I would guess an r/a would be the fastest.

I use 3 R/A's
Seen many diffrent combinations and I see they all work great.
Speed in HFF deals alot on internet connection/speed and how fast you can load into a zone and so forth back into Lutgardis.
