New thread, new tricks. This time more in the form of a personal GW(and non) related sketchbook for myself. When I started drawing here I was really out of practise but now I think I'm getting more and more tuned in because of all the commissions and contests and I could really use the practise.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. I'm now confirmed to start a mini screenshot contest at a later date. I will bump the thread up when it's time but probably not for a few weeks now(just guessing) as I still have some commitments before that. Contest will be about taking an inspiring screenshot of your character that will be judged and winners will receive a drawing of said character as a prize. I have yet to decide how many prizes there are and who will be the judges to help me. Currently I have Noanoa as my first judge as she has promised to help. Judges cannot participate ofcourse. More info will come when I get this organized better.

A contest would be cool.

Nice to have a contest for the fans instead of one for the artists.

I would definitely participate in the contest, though I'm guessing there'd be so many people entering it'd be crazy-fierce competition.

Eek. I was thinking more of a smaller contest with just a few days(five?) to do the 'assingment' so nothing that big. It would almost be like a freebie lottery without being a lottery. I would have to get a few other people here from the forums to help do the judging though. If it seems people are interested. x)

Wow. Just wow. I'm loving your style, Nian.

What's that first one you have up there, watercolor? Something a bit freaky going on with that arm, but otherwise nice job. The detail in the mesmer's costum is great especially the fabric of her dress. Your use of colors there is pro. That really all color pencil? You definitely make me want to break out the Prisma Colors again, that's for sure.

Maybe we could do an artists trade on the side, eh? I'd love to have some of your work.

I haven't thought the contest up too far yet. I'll update the first page when it's up. Yes I was thinking of one screenshot/per participant.

Oh no...they're all computer painted on top of sketches in Photoshop. Unlike you I'm a total loser with natural mediums. There was a time when I was really excited about color markers and I still have tons of copic ciao etc. markers in a dusty corner somewhere but I can't use them to save my life. XD
I mean...where's the undo button in markers lol ? *noob*

I would love to do an art trade with you sometime! I need to have mooore delicious art myself hehe. I'll get back to harrassing you when I have finished the pending commissions and stuff I have!

Btw, I've been trying to register to GWonline but I just can't receive the confirmation email. Wonder if there's something funny with that? I even tried making a second account with another email to no avail and I even forgot the username... the first one was nian nian. (I'm so original..)

Waited for a few days and no confirmation. Guess all my emails suck. Any suggestions? <.<

Heh. I believe I have a set of Prisma markers doing the exact same thing.

Well, you do a great job creating that water color effect in Photoshop. I would have at least pegged you for a Painter user. I may have to pick your brain for a technique or two, eh?

I'm about to start taking commissions myself, but I'm sure we can find time here or there to do a little something for each other.

In your upcoming contest, would it be allowed to secretly kidnap every participant so that they wouldn't be available to get the prize and the prize would go to me.. erm, I mean, to the next in line?
