Default New Missions or Sideline stories

<Please> I'm aware that it's quite futile to post new game suggestions, however I do hope you can keep this topic clean of comments saying so. We all know the game is old and might or might not be abandoned and/or on hold, but some of us still enjoy Guild Wars 1 more than Guild Wars 2. </Thanks>

Edit #1
Updated this suggestion to be a bit more generic and not focus too much on bonus missions.

Summary
Continue support for Guild Wars 1 with new minor contents, perhaps similar to Sorrow's Furnace, without the need for implementing new maps, skills or professions. This could be sold using microtransactions.

Background
While Guild Wars 2 has been released and is being prioritized by ArenaNet, many people still prefer Guild Wars 1 as it's basically a completely different game. While it might no longer be feasible to sell full campaigns or expansions, I believe the game could stillbenefit from minor additions. For example, a new optional area with missions and quests similar to Sorrow's Furnace. Nothing that require too heavy time investment, so no new skills or professions, possibly reusing existing maps. Perhaps some new armor and weapon skins as rewards? New contest can then be funded using micro transactions.

What stories to tell?
There are plenty of mysteries in Druid's Overlook forum that could be answered with the help of minor missions and quest lines. The story of Menzies, of Mursaat, The Scarab Plague, Kingdom of Orr, ... they don't have to be told all at once, one or a few could be told in each new minor addition to the game.

Personally I would love to see a few new Pre-Searing missions that adds a deeper understanding of conflicts and the upcoming searing. People still hang out in Pre-Searing so please don't nag the idea saying it's a tutorial. While technically it is a tutorial, in reality it's its own sub culture within the game. It's unique and shouldn't be trashed down.

Multi-map missions?
You could even implement full multi-map missions. For example, Glint might be sending you through time to solve disturbing key events in time, and she urge you that it's upmost important that you don't pollute the time line. So you might end up in Ascalon Catacombs dealing with time travelling charrs (accidently leaving bones behind as some were found in the real story line). Glint then meet you up at end of that map and sends you to a different time period to deal with other time infractions.

i wish that people would stop saying the game is dying, dead or abandonned, its just less active than other times

ontopic: no thx, i rather have stuff i can do with own builds and own heroes, than forced builds on me and allies
then normal quests are much more free, like we have in wik and woc (which have no new areas except for lions arch keep)

i never bought BMP, cuz its no fun using forced builds (also skipped HoTN parts) and having no freedom like in open quests

stumme had the elona new content on paper, so if we wait, we could get it, and thats much better, unless we get quests where you play like in HoTN.... which i hope not

so no thx, i dont like these forced missions with no options about what you want to play, and have to play solo.... o_O
i think they made no more such packs, cuz i doubt there's enough fans, otherwise we would've seen more of them..... or at least 1 more, which i dont see

Fair enough, you make a valid point and I appreciate it.
The essence of this topic wasn't actually originally about bonus mission, it was about adding content to the game with the (assumingly) minimal amount of efforts. I should have been a bit more generic in original topic.

ANY new stuff I am for, not that I was a fan of the bonus mission pack (never got the knack of some of them), but I know it could bring some peeps back as well as tying up some loose ends...(not to mention $$$$ for anet).

What I would like to see is more stuff after gw and before gw2...like what happened to Evennia? (did she secretly marry the King and become Queen of the ruins of Ascalon??? ...did she ever get an audience????...)

More updates like sorrows furnace, which if you remember gave us NO new skills, NO new professions, NO new armor...but a few more nice weapons (for the time), lots of new quests and more areas to explore (and I STILL enjoy going there!!).

and heck, they COULD add new armors--just not 'elite' types...more 1k stuff.

/signed.

Oh I would love to go by Sorrow Furnace again, that was ages ago. Yes, new "mini-contents" like this even if using existing maps would have been welcome. I'd gladly pay for it using microtransactions.

Agreed agreed.
And as Bristlebane I'd very much like to see old content expanded than something in the future linking to gw2.
For example, it's sad they abandoned the concept of insectoid gods, I remember even Dhumm was speculated to be one of those before they gave him an actual shape. I always wondered why they threw it up in the Torment but never did more.
I also agree on no missions with forced/new skills, just make it like Furnace.
Eh new armors would be awesome, too awesome to hope. And of course like cosyfiep said make them cheap. Nothing like envoy weapons at all.

One can always dream...

I thought exactly the same and I would love to get more Sidestories like WiK, WoC, Bonus Missions, Sorrow's Furnace etc.

That's for 2 points:

1. I really really loved the stories in gw1. Let the campaigns alone which I played so often (factions alone over 20 times). Sorrow's Furnace was a brilliant dungeon lore and atmossphere wise. WiK and WoC had very interesting character's and the way of telling the story was very good. Especially WoC got me.

2. After I saw what they did with EotN, latest alancechanges and GW2 I don't want another Campaign because that mean there will be a lot of new mechanics that have a chance to be just awful. For example PvE Skills and Consets were terrible adds to the game in my opinion and I don't think a new expansion wouldn't bring terible things like that. If the stories alone have a good plot and are well told (like WoC for example) than I would pay for it.
