Commission - Open: Hizke Art (GW or Anything)

Hi! I'm Hizke and I'd like to consider myself something of an artist. As it stands, I'm looking to kind of brush up and challenge myself on drawing more and working on becoming a better artist; on the off chance I might be getting something more out of it being a perk.

I'm still into Guild Wars and am trying to finish out my Hall of Monuments. That said, I'm pretty much dirt poor.

I basically will sketch black and white traditionally and will use Photoshop for digital art.

I don't have any recent examples of traditional art I can post up right now, but I have plenty of digital art to show.

Commission Info

I'll draw anything and it doesn't have to be GW related!

For a black and white traditional pen drawing, I'm willing to do anywhere from 10k or more depending on what is asked for. Prices are very negotiable!

For an uncolored digital drawing with one character, I can do it for 20k.

For a colored digital drawing with one character, I will do it for at least 5 ectos! For a background, an additional 2 ectos and for each additional character 3 ectos!

I am willing to negotiate any price, as this is my first time doing this sort of thing.

Anyhow, if you want to commission me, please keep in mind that I am poor as hell and am willing to take basically anything you want to give me! Hell, if you wanted to give me more, I'd love you for it and maybe do something extra for you!

However, since this is my first thread here, the first five people to ask for commission will get a free small to medium sized character (1) picture!

Again, to clarify, if you want to give me more than my asking price, feel free! I am just starting on my HoM now (5 points) and would really appreciate any support you could show me!

Character details: She's got just a bit of a warmongering side to her. Comes with the mercenary gig, as it were.
Notes: -Preferably, without the gloves or mask.
-Eye color is light blue/cyan
-I leave anything else to your discretion and artistic license.

What is the recommended payment for commissions? I'm not asking for cash or selling items btw! I just figured since ectos were shorthand for payment methods, I used that as a standard. I mostly just mean that value in plat as a shorthand, not to literally give me ectos unless that is easier for people who want to do it that way.

Many Commissions have Opened over years of people taking requests and selling their art for In game cash. If this wasn't acceptable i doubt that many Commissions would even be open, yet alone guru even allow it.

no what im saying is giving you in game cash or items for a real world item(your art) is against the EULA. if u want to do some art charge real cash for REAL ART. otherwise your putting yourself and others at risk.

Art commissions are within the unspoken gray area as far as the EULA goes. It's to my understanding that ANet overlooks but does not officially endorse fanworks, be they commissions or otherwise.
That is, being the very nature that this subforum nurtures, I have yet to see any objection to GW currency being used for artwork in all these years.

Interesting work, Hizke - do you differentiate between pixel art (like that Charizard gijinka) and more painterly works (the Buddha pic and the portrait of a blonde woman) as far as pricing is concerned?

Whoops, sorry I missed this! I have a few traditional sketches I have yet to scan and a few more recent things with color, but all the color stuff is digital. I'll post them soon!
