Default Vapor Blade and heroes

I was testing out how heroes use their skills in the Isle of the Nameless and I noticed that Zhed would only use Vapor Blade on enchanted enemies! I had him on Guard and he absolutely refused to cast it on foes without enchantments and would happily spam it away when I brought him near those Masters that had enchantments on, then stopping when the enchantment was stripped.

So the hero AI really wants that half damage Vapor Blade. I'd suggest checking the AI conditions for this spell.

Default Dunkoro - Heal Party

Dunkoro simply refuses to use Heal Party. I have to do it manually, which is really annoying. Does this mean monk heroes just wont cast whole-party spells..?

Alesia and Lina just let the whole party die to siege worm attacks while waiting out the timer in Dunes of Despair. This didn't used to happen the other times I've done this mission.

Heroes only ever use it at 0 energy. Which is problematic, but it's probably to prevent them from facing a situation where a spike happens during activation, as heroes don't cancel their skills.

They see it as a 15 energy X point heal (where X is how much it heals). They don't factor into account the fact that it heals multiple party members (and hence, the healing per energy spent would be much better).

In my healers boon build he uses it, but not consistendly, or as indicated by Bhavv when it is much more efficient then a single target heal (5-6 or more targets healed)

Ok ,as per the other henchman issue thread in this section of the forums, there does currently appear to be a bug with the heroes right now. I was just in Isle of the Nameless, checking out the new prerelease items for EotN when I noticed that Margrid was just standing around, not doing anything, even though the rest of us were smashing dummies, so I started paying closer attention to her and this is what I noticed.

Call a target, she attacks once and then stops, reapplying any preps she has as they expire.

Attack a target myself, she attacks once and then stops, reapplying any preparations she has as they expire.

Set her to aggressive and then call / attack a target, she attacks a few times and then stops, but still reapplies her preparations as the need arises.

Been having problems with caster heroes going for enemy casters even though they are manually locked onto the enemy melee attackers via hero panel. Basically my Sousuke and Olias will run into the middle of a tanked group of warriors just so they can get within casting range of the enemy backline.

It was very noticeable in the Ruins of Morah mission. My team of heroes and henchies was finishing off Commander Varesh when Zhed goes off to set a patrolling mob on fire. He was locked onto Varesh the whole time and was even half an aggro bubble away from the two patrolling enemies.

Default Rampage as One & Bows :)

Ok i dont know if this is the right place to post this but here it goes.

Did any of you noticed that the hero REFUSES to use Rampage as One with bows?
I was "trying" to make a ranger with RaO with a bow and read the wind but the hero simply did not used it! ¬¬
Then i created a hammer with my pvp character and gave it to him, and he used it at the exact second i gave it to him.

Was the hero supposed to act like that?
And why not using it with a bow... isnt that good? O.o

Default Healing AI changed? ayone else noticing this?

my comuter crased a few weeks ago so i took advantage of this to upgrade...needless to say, i have't played while waiting for newegg to send me my crap...they did and i started playing again.

since i'm out of practice playing, i've been lazy and joined mostly player groups (i've generally had better results with hench and since nf...hero/hench groups than the usual idiots you get in a pug...after playing for a few days with people, i stand by that assertion whole-heartedly).

i was in a group lately with several people however still had to resort to bringing dunkoro. that sob is lazier than crap these days. i'm standing there and watching dunkoro pick his virtual nose while one of the multitude of melee players in the group (pugs ftl) was plugging away at about 2/3 health.

did anet change healing ai? they seem to be kinda taking it easy these days.

do i need to change my "all-5e-toolbars" with inspiration magic for additional e-management to something more meaty and e-intensive?

i also had an awesome tank build on koss (he used "none shall pass" like an area taunt...however rarely uses it now)

i don't recall reading about ai changes while i was in "exile"...did it creep in? did i jst miss it?

tried to make 2 barrage/pet rangers to help with cartographing, and they use the splinter weapon on me... I'm a monk...

Weapon speels must be regarded as a restoration only thing. this needs to be fixed per weapon spell.

Default AI difficulty using Conviction (and other skills)

Conviction is a pretty awesome stance. For those unfamiliar, it works in two ways:

1) If you are under an enchantment, it adds +24 armor.

2) If you are not enchanted, it gives 1...3 health regen.

So it's a nice stance that has some use, whether or not the primary condition (enchantment) is met. It is also one of the few stances in the game that has a duration longer than its recharge (at 6 pts or above).

One of my Koss Heroes has a sword and shield that give bonuses when in stance, and I skilled him with "standing Slash" which does extra damage when in stance... all under the impression that Koss would maintain this stance while in combat (it's pretty cheap at 5e every 20seconds or so).

Thing is, he will only use it if he is under an enchantment. It's like the alternative benefit of the skill doesn't register in his little AI brain. I know this isn't the only skill that is having this problem with heroes*, but it is a good example of them not doing things that make sense.

If someone could take some time to look into this, that would be nice.


*Melonni won't use Faithful intervention - despite it having multiple benefits, and not expiring until knocked down to 25% HP.

Default Bug? Razah, spirits and me

I am a Ritualist. Spirits that I cast/Razah casts that are duplicates auto-destroy the spirits cast first. Is that a bug? When I was using animates as a Rt/Necro, and had Olias, he had his full complement and I had mine, which is why I ask.

Why would I be able to keep minions and not spirits unless it was for balance of a bug?

Default Vampirism Spirit- buggy attack AI

Since added to the game, the Sunspear ritualist spirit Vampirism has displayed a remarkable passivity compared to other ritualist spirits. In multiple occasions in which other spirits in the same situation (same place, same caster, same distance to enemies etc.) as Vampirism attacked, Vampirism did not. While it does begin to attack sometimes, it often sits there doing nothing.

Just 2 simple things ^^

Heros don't use Zealous benediction on themself, they only heal other persons with it. It would be great for HvH if they would use it for themself, too.

Heros are bad with Resilient Weapon. If someone has a hex, he will get res weapon, which is good, but this person will get res weapon again when its recharged, even if the person still has a res weapon on him. So they waste a lot of mana.

Would be n1 if both things get fixed

Default Hero Janundo Wail Misuse

I have recently noticed that the heroes while in Janundo form (sorry for the spelling...im not fluent in NF speak) will often use...or rather misuse...Janundo Wail while in the middle of combat...now they used to do this when an ally was dead during combat which is fine...but no wthey've begun using it whenever their health drops below say 25%, even while in combat and the rest of the party is at full.

Essentially, the parameters for Janundo Wail were:
if (heroHealth <= 25% and numEnemiesInEarShot == 0) or numDeadPartyMember > 0
hero.action = JanundoWail;

however now its more like:
if heroHealth <= 25% or numDeadPartyMember > 0
hero.action = JanundoWail;

I have a quick poll whose hero AI worked better Warcraft 1 or GW.Also any chance of getting bonus item of a shovel for heroes,hench and minions.Funny thing is monster will come chargeing you from a circle and a half from your agro circle.You heros/minions will watch monsters well when your agro circle.Hero AI needs work.

Default Heroes dropping searing flames on spirits

Spirits are immune to conditions, which makes them completely immune to Searing Flames. However I regularly see Zhed casting Searing Flames on a spirit while there are no enemies anywhere near its AOE range and there are other enemies fighting us.

I have seen this regularly while hero henching when I hadn't targeted the spirit and everyone else is fighting with the enemies. I think I've seen it happen a few times when I've called the other enemies.

I've had a lot of hero/henchmen trouble as well lately. I can't say for sure when it started because I hadn't been playing a lot the weeks leading up to the GW:EN preview, but I've a few issues now that I never used to have before. Three main issues:

1) I've been busy vanquishing the last few Tyria areas the past week, and a tactic I've used for many many areas before is giving me a lot of trouble now. Against groups with many nasty casters, I flag my team, have Dunkoro cast a few protections on me and add some of my own. Then, I run in on my own, round up the monsters like I want them, remove all flags and call a target. Before, they'd rush in, refresh my failing protections and lay the smack down on the mob of monsters. Now, 1 in 3 times, they don't come and help me. They don't move at all. To make matters worse, they come rushing in at the exact moment I die because of failing enchantments/stances. Also, when they do move, they sometimes move in the wrong direction.

I can work around this by flagging them, by the way, but it doesn't seem like appropriate behavior to me.

2) Sometimes, one or more of them will randomly stop doing what they're supposed to. This is exceptionally annoying in the case of monks. Several times, I've watched Dunkoro just stand around with full energy, doing nothing at all, right next to me, while my health is slowly being whittled away. Manually activating a skill usually gets him going again.
