Update - Thursday, November 10

* Improved the character name and guild name entry dialogs.

* Improved AI so that henchmen and monsters can now detect and flee from area-effect damage spells.

* Improved AI so that monsters will eventually stop chasing fleeing players.

* Slightly reduced the power of the Doppelganger creature.

* Fixed a bug which could cause certain animated ground cover to not be animated.

* Fixed a bug which could cause two copies of Gwen to appear in pre-searing Ascalon.

* Fixed a bug with certain enemies not attacking players in the Gates of Kryta mission.

* Fixed an exploit which could allow players to create PvP characters with invalid armor. Thanks to Derek Ravenclaw for reporting this.

There is already a threed about farm nerf (it got closed pretty quick) about AOE is causing mobs to scatter. I honestly don't think that was there goal, it looks like PvE got a bit harder (no complaints from me)

This screams if the monsters are beating you, retreat and regroup it gets to hot.

Added by Savio: New update.

Update - Friday, November 11

* Improved and corrected problems with Monster and Henchmen AI

* Fixed Dark Bond so that it no longer diverts damage to dead minions

* Fixed a bug that could return players to the login screen when they attempted to create a new character

* Changed the portal from the Tombs of the Primeval Kings so that it no longer divides parties

The only thing I don't like about it is the reduced power of the doppleganger. Everything else is fine with me.

Default Say bye bye to Elona farming mission. New update

Check what the minos do now, if you get aggrivated easily then this will aggrivate you.
minos keep running around not exactly hitting you like they used to and takes forver to do.
Your toon will be chasing them around like a mad person.

argh

EDIT: Well not just elona, any area of effect spell has mobs running around like crazy now.

Imagine farming Ettins now.
Oh dear god I do not even want to think
Or Griffons with all the devourers around, u cannot stick to a corner anymore.

I dont really like the monsters not chasing fleeing players. Seems to make it too easy.

I like the monsters fleeing from AoE spells. Maybe Fire Eles wont be the only type in PvE now.

this is the greatest thing for PvE ele's ever, and general PvE gameplay. NOw groups will have to get smart and not have the boring wars, monks, echo nuker set-up.
I only PvP these days, but at last eles can who only PvE can learn about the beauty of the other ele lines besides fire. This will open up the game a lot. Great move

Equation: Monsters + AoE = Flee.

Monsters + Slow = Try to flee.
Monsters + No Slow = Flee.

So, transitive property, Monsters + AoE = Monsters + No Slow

So therefore, Monsters + Slow = Flee is a false boolean statement.

Hmm, lets look at this! A water ele has how many slow spells? An earth ele that can tank with ward against foes + melee + w/e while your fire nukers do anything they can to said targets? So don't delete your eles just yet..

Btw, yeah, farming gets hit with the nerf bat again, no more griffon runs with huge amounts of monsters, no more staying in AoE range of Balthazars Aura either. Too bad. =/

To be honest I do think the goal was to make PvE harder overall to make it more of a challenge and take longer. You will not go through as quick and you will have to play smarter now. This is the perfect time to look at Air or Air/Earth for me that I've been thinking about.

(Edit) - Didn't think about this but this affects fire rain and metor shower. The Burst AOE should still work fine like Phoenix and Rodgort's Invocation as well as the fast cast direct fire.

It'll be fun seeing how parties behave now in places like the Fissure and Underworld.

I wonder if the aoe-spreading monsters lose their target and run to any squishy targets now...

Yup, break off tanks and go straight to mages/healers... we learned the hard way

Well, what do you people think it will do to the economy? Inflate? Or decrease avg. persons price of items?

Underworld farmers will adapt--to what extent, I can't say yet (working on homework >_< can't check). If the situation becomes unmanageable, then ectos will rise considerably.

Other items such as gold swords etc I wouldn't see changing much from their current prices.

Personnally I like the changes to nukers - I play with a fire ele purely because I could never get in a group as one of the other 3, now maybe I can.

Stay the same. Eles weren't handicapped. You just have to figure out another way to keep monsters in AoE range. Which means take a WATER ELE.
