Guild Wars 1 - End of an Era Party

Hello Everyone!

As the launch of Guild Wars 2 approaches....myself and the GW-EN Krewe were approached about having a party in GW 1 to celebrate good times from the past and celebration of the future in Guild Wars 2. With that---we decided to have a party where it all began.....

Ascalon City!

So join us in Ascalon City International 1 (More districts will be attended to as the need rises) as we celebrate our future with the Guild Wars Community!

The event will be from 12pm-3pm Central (-6 GMT) (or longer if need be )

August 18th


Prizes?

Several Districts will be hosted by a variety of groups and individuals from the community. We are not naming who is hosting the districts but the prizes and activities will be as follows:

In-District Trivia - 20 nostalgic questions asked every 5-10 minutes in the district with Hall of Monument themed prizes

On-air Trivia- A Variety of GW 1 Blast from the Past trivia with Large Prize Packs aiming to help out with Hall of Monument goals - Tune in via - gw-en.com and help us celebrate the launch of our Brand New Website!

Prizes for above are somewhat listed below...but many contributors will have items they are bringing to the event that day for a massive spoiling of the community!

Conga Line - This is a must have--need I say more?

Sharing of stories - This can be done on trade chat or sent in early for us to play on-air during the event. We want people to share stories of their gameplay with Guild Wars or their most memorable moments in the game.

We will be doing 5 polls - 1 for each day leading up to the event starting on Monday! Make sure to vote and pay attention to the topics--you might just get a heads up on some particularly great prize Results will be announced throughout the event and more details will be announced about the outcome during the event!

Seeing that this is a tradition at all our major events--we better have the drinks and treats abound

That sounds like a great idea! We should definitely do that Maybe we will set something on the GW-EN Facebook page --because they have a built in vote function now.

If more people can come up with things to vote about--maybe all week starting on Monday--leading up to the event--we can have different things to vote on and remember
