Default Gladiator title from scratch during the anniversary event?

Would it be the best PvP title to get (since I don't want to farm or buy Zaishen keys)? Or does anyone want to help me do HA?

Is there any bonus for Gladiator during the anniversary event or is it only fame for HA...

There is a bonus in all pvp arenas during the event. Glad would be best without friends/guildies to help you, codex would be easy with 3 freinds long as a pvp guild doesn't show up, and I don't know about HA anymore, It might have life during the event.

It takes very long time to get r3 glad, even with double rep. zrank is by far the easiest and least timeconsuming. I salute you if you succeed in your goal, good luck!

I started last night... I created a meta rated hammer warrior from GwPvx.com... Oh, I'm terrible even with the guide. The hammer attack is so slow I feel like I'm constantly screaming 'why aren't you attacking'. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but I WAS just running with only the hammer. I'm going to get the spear/shield and start with that then switch to hammer when it's go time to see if that helps... I couldn't burst anyone down by myself though... I'm so terrible that with a good healer on both sides, matches will last nearly the full amount of time because I just can't kill anyone (granted the other 2 people should be helping).

I don't think I'm getting this title... 2000 points and after one night I have 6. Oh brother...

hammer has the slowest attack speed so you will have to use a skill to increase attack speed inorder to kill effectively. You might also want to learn how to quarterknock someone. seeing as how you said u get builds of gwpvx then you should have the equipment down. now just work on timing

The build comes with flail. But the activation queue is bull's strike, devastating hammer, flail, crushing blow, hammer bash.. Anyway, I'll try again tonight, then I may just make and see if I'm better at healing people than killing...

thats std stuff. its like reading a manual. sooner or later youll start thinking for yourself and its all muscle memory. you don;t have to start with bulls that only said as a start of the chain b/c usually ppl run from you when they see a war coming and u can easily start the kd chain from there.

if you use bulls later on the chain then you get a knock none-the-less. also the chain doesnt pull off a qknock from my experience. you still have to do a side step in between crushing and hammer bash since flail speeds up the attack enough that you hit hammer bash while they are still kded.

Thanks. I actually had my best run yet last night... I think we won 9 in a row. We had an experience Monk giving me tips, in the end we lost because I can't figure out how to know what enchantments/skills are up on my target and a monk had balanced stance and I couldn't knock him down. I stayed with him instead of switch targets and we lost... And the Monk on our team gave me a eyeful of text to read if you know what I mean...

I just read about quick swapping tonight which will help as I was getting incredibly frustrated last night with my Spear staying out when I wanted to switch to my hammer. I now know I need to press Esc.

Followups: Is there a way to tell how much adrenaline I have? After I use my combo, and the target is not dead (ie, team didn't help or something else happened), do I switch back to my spear and re-build adrenaline or do I just chase my target with my hammer?

For a war (or any melee prof) it is important to know the animations of monk prots. Especially Gaurdian (forms a ring around the opponent like a halo). If you see one that will mess you up, target switch. Also counting can help with stances. monks usually have a stance or two but they have down times. As a hammer war, when you see balanced stance activated on a monk switch targets while counting to 15 (balanced stance at 9 tactics runs for 15 seconds but has a recharge of 30 seconds) then switch back to monk and chain.

When it comes to adrenaline just know when a skill lights up you have that much adrenaline and eventually you will get a feel for the adrenal skills and where you stand on adrenaline. Also, quick swapping from hammer to spear for 2-3 hits is strong tactics but it helps knowing how to qstep on spear so you can stay close to a target when you switch back.

I don't play hammer war often but thats what I've gathered over time. I'm sure some real wars can correct me on my badness.

What Glints said-Counting to 15 seconds on balance stance and chaining after although be warned most monks generally carry Bonetti Defense which you shouldn't be attacking them after they use it as your only supplying them energy.

The adrenaline you'll see Build up after each Hit. Its like a little fire building on your adrenaline skills and eventually they'll look bright when there ready to use. You should also be using defence sets(Multiple shields with +10ar VS Piercing, blunt, fire, earth ect) when building adrenaline and switching accordingly.

Here's a little Guide about quarter stepping which can be useful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BH-n3...layer_embedded

well like I said hammer has the slowest attack rate and if you have flail on to speed up AS then you are slowed due to the skill and they can just kite you if bulls strike isnt up yet.

changing to spear attacks then back to hammer are nice but like you said if you didnt know how to cancel attacks then it wouldnt help you out much.

you can also learn to bait out monks. swtich to a hammer run up to a target and then run away when you see Balanced stance or guardian used on them and bash soemthing else. Good wars and callers in general know how to count seconds on skills like ballanced stance and guardian. if you wanna know times then jsut look at gwpvx builds and see how long they generally last. maybe add a second or 2 if 20% encahnt is used.

in RA a lot of monks use stances so bring something to rend the stances is nice. and never stay on 1 target like you were. monks can jsut guardian themselves all day.

This bit needs underlining if you're pretty new:
"My main goal in an engagement is to do as much damage as possible while wasting as much of their energy as possible. Basically this means that you want to force their backline into using their prots ineffectively by not letting their enchantments get any of the effects, wasting precious energy. This includes a lot of target swapping to maximize your damage output."

unless you sync you won't be making 50 zkeys a day in 6 hours or even close.
