just to let people know that there is a concerted effort to get FA active again, as of typing time 23:20 GMT 01.02.13 or 02.01.13 there have been 3 matches, so people who are interested in playing it, and people who want to map it, now is a good time to try

It was just nice to see that very few were running around for their cartographer title and most were actually playing to win.

Not just that, but it's awesome to see some unique and once-fun formats being played again. I actually miss FA and Alliance battles, not because I was trying to attain the allegiance titles, but because they were an enjoyable casual pvp format.

yeah, i play JQ for fun, FA when it's active and unfortuantly it seemed to be active only that day, hopefully this will change as there are plenty of people who play JQ now, but would prefer to play FA, however motivating them is harder than it should be, status quo etc

Well, i don't know but i tried to play some JQ this afternoon. I waited 29 restarts to be matched with 6 bots against 7 humans. Then i switched to luxon side, waited 19 restarts and it was a 2v3...

Last time i played, bots were moving or standing on yellow path, these ones aren't even moving or using any skill...

was it early afternoon? +1 hour gmt? northern europe? if so that might well be deadish, i first logged in at about 5pm gmt, and jq was very active, however even at it's most active times the waits can be 5/6 minutes or so, but i've waited far longer in HA and GvG, plus i enjoy the casual nature of jq and fa enough to put up with waits

by active i mean 20/25 players either side, as for bots, they're certainly still about, but not in large numbers, and they're generally banned when reported by email

i've never noticed the yellow path, which i suspect reveals how much i concentrate

FA gave decent points for winning (didnt they up it a couple years back?), and thats pretty easy on the Kurz side. Which I think is the problem, many only play the easy side and so there was never enough lux or to long a queue ( when there was enough players ).

FA is more fun and tactically challenging compared to JQ. But they have to balance out the NPCs of both side (redundant Luxon warriors and Kurzick rits), reduce the map size (too big for 16 players) and increase factions gain per gate breach for Luxons.

I LOVE FA!!!! It's up to Areanet to bring it back ultimately...I miss it so much....I still don't have the money to upgrade my pc to play GW2 pvp, the gameplay for GW2 pvp is not near as strategic as GW1 and I hope that they will bring it back soon so that it will become as great as it once was!!!
