Default Easter Eggs

I would like to make a compendium of all the easter eggs and other gags the devs have covertly placed in the game. Please post suspects here.

moved to explorers' league. this thread was originally posted in community works but i did not think that such a project would be as beneficial. i moved this thread to this forum as i think it would better fit with "spoilers" and such.

here are a couple of well known ones:
Rodgort is Trogdor, of Homestar Runner fame, spelled backwards.
"For great justice!" is a line from the introduction of Zero Wing, which is the game that started the "All your base" craze.

RODGORT!
RODGORT!
Rodgort was a man.
I mean, he was a dragon-man.
Or maybe he was just a dragon.
But he was still...
TROGDOR!

Yup, from homestarrunner.com comes everyone's favorite burninator in form of the skill Rodgort Invocation.

Others that is quite apparent is the Garden Gnomes who say "Ni!" in BWE6.
They are a reference to Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail, and the Knights Who Say Ni!

"To the limit!" is a Homestar Runner reference as well.

Not so much as in-game Easter Eggs, but a lot of the titles of things in the art book are song names the very first one I found was Welcome to the Jungle followed by Stairways to Heaven and Ring of Fire . I think there's more, but I'm not sure.

The male Elementalist's dance is Elaine's "little kicks" from Seinfeld.

An NPC in Ascalon City (post-searing) is named Ellie Rigby...
There's a Beatles song called Eleanor Rigby.

Ellie Rigby also talks about the lonely people. Another reference to the Beatles song.

Ran into Galstaff the Light, a Collector out near the Temple of Ages. Refrence to the Summoner end game video where the main characters are play a traditional game of PnP D&D. Cool reference imho.

The Bark! Bark! Bark! language option is quite nice...

Apart from that, all that was cited here is not really Easter Eggs, but rather nice references that the programmers do to have fun.

A real Easter Egg is something like that: In SimCity 4, if your computer clock is dated on the 25th of december, your cities will be white of snow. And yes, they have a lot of references too...

Im not sure if this qualifies but:

When you buy your storage account from a xunlai agent for the first time, the npc says something like: You only have to pay once and you will have lifetime access, and there will never ever be any monthly fees.

Nice reference

Bonetti's Defense is from the movie Princess Bride.

"Ah, you're using Bonetti's defense against me, eh?"

"I thought it fitting, considering the rough terrain."

There are a number of A Song of Ice and Fire references, if you've read the (ongoing) fantasy series by George R R Martin. These were mentioned in a post by BenyBen, Lasher Dragon, adam.skinner, oneiros, and Dracil in a previous post, but I thought it appropriate to mention here In summary:

+ Collector Varis (presearing, Fort Ranik) collects spider legs. In the books, one of the craftiest characters is aka The Spider.

+ Ben Wolfson (presearing, ranger you rescue north of the wall) is a reference to Ben(jen) Stark. In the novels, he's lost north of their own wall, and his house symbol is a wolf.

+ A blood mage henchman is named Valyr Morghulez (not sure where to get)--exactly to the letter, this is an oft-repeated line by one of the characters when she kills.

+ A centaur dude is named Drogo Greatmane, a sorta tribe leader character in the books whose hair was never cut (a sign of defeat). These people are also known for their use of horses (centaurs being half horse, of course).

Great game, great books!
