Life bond works against attacks, such as melee attacks + wand attacks + bow attacks.
Life barrier works against spells, attacks, etc.

Life barrier works vs. almost all types of damage (I'm not sure if it reduces life stealing damage), and it doesn't channel half the damage towards you.
That description is also out of date. If I remember correctly, life barrier reduces ~20-45% damage, and drops when you go down below 50% health.

i would think the effects stacked seeing how its a different spell.
but the whole point of life bond is to redirect the dmg to you. most dmg i receive from it is 0 dmg, but it does count as dmg.
life bond 3 mates and balth spirit yourself with blessed sig.
great energy tool for a monk while cutting the dmg to your party in half.
did notice that most spells were not reverted to me with life bond. haven't tried out barrier but barrier can also hit yourself as well. its designed more for monk protection.

Biggest differences are:
Life Barrier is simply an elite skill, other's not
Life Barrier costs 15 Energy and recharges every 5 seconds, this makes it more tricky to cast on allys, other's is 10-1.
Life Bond is only against damage from attacks (right hand weapon and skills that use it) other's against all damage.
Life Barrier uses its attribute points optimal around 7 Protection Prayers (green number already starts high and doesnt increase as much as others), Life Bond ~14 Protection Prayers (nearly nullifies damage than but thre caster still takes 0 damage on each hit).
Life Bond transfers reduced damage to the caster, this combines nicely with Healing Seed, Essence Bond, Balthazar's Spirit and adrenaline skills.
-> Life Bond is against Damage from Warriors Rangers Minions and Pets.
-> Life Barrier is against Damage, especially from Mesmers Elementalists and necromancers.
-> Life bonde demands ~13 Divone Favor and the Blessed Signet, Life Barrier doesnt.

Well as has been said before; Bond reduces damage from attacks only; weapons and their associated attacks. Barrier, on the other hand, reduces all damage. If you're going to use both, you'll get the composite benefit of both. If you're running 15 prot, you'll get about 50% reduction from barrier, that combined with life bond gives you 75% vs attacks, and only 50% vs everything else except for life stealing. If you do plan to use both, I believe it's better to put barrier first, to further reduce lifebond damage taken.

With 15 protection prayers, you should really never take damage from Life Bond when using it after Barrier. Barrier reduces even nasty warrior spikes of 120 to 60. Bond reduces 60 to 30 and this is reduced to zero on you. So the protected teammate would take about 30 damage.

I think it was said earlier, but life barrier is an elite, plus it doesn't cause damage to you. Can you run life barrier AND life bond on the same person?
