Comments on these skills
I am trying out new builds for AB.
Has anyone tried working these skills into a build?
[card]Holy Strike[/card] or [card]Stonesoul Strike[/card]
Is the damage caused by these skills armor-ignoring?

I personally haven't, but i guess some pl might be able to tie them in with the SOJ DA AB build floating around.
Eg- After Augery of death shadow steps you to them, cast SOJ (if recharged) followed by that.
I think its armour ignoring aswell

If something is KD'd, I generally like to hit Falling Lotus/Spider.
Dual Attacks kill people, splitting into a crappy attribute for sub-par spells doesn't.

Both of those skills are bad, like most of the other smiting skills.

I remember a build around when factions came out that was basically backbreaker -> crushingblow -> holy strike, With lots of frenzy. Wasnt too exciting and probably is now very outdated.

so then as far as assassin skills are concerned, there are better skills for using against knocked down foes?
they look good on paper....low energy, relatively quick recharge, and possibly armor ignoring.

For AB, they don't seem to do much.
Save those 2 skills for knock downed undead foes in PVE

I've seen those skills put into that stupid A/Mo SoJ spike build but still not that appealing imo.

Unless you are fighting the dead it is a bad skill.

I made up this really funny 105 monk hammer build with those, backbreaker and crushing blow to use against 2 warrior nubs who wouldn't shut up about challenging me 1v1, so I took them 1v2 and handled them pretty well . For general play they aren't too useful, only good for some form of KD+spike group.

They don't do all that much damage tbh, smiting prayers spells tend to be gimped in general.

Maybe useful to a monk/sin (would opt for toxic shock instead of duplicated skill)
[skill]Scourge Healing[/skill]
[skill]Iron Palm[/skill]
[skill]Holy Strike[/skill]
[skill]Entangling Asp[/skill]
[skill]Stonesoul Strike[/skill]
[skill]Smite Condition[/skill]
or [skill]Smite Hex[/skill]
or Rez spell
[skill]Shield of Judgment[/skill]
