Greets,
Cant decide which is a better stat for Warrior/Monk, does str actually add that much more dmg?

Why dont you try it out, you can always remove points from strength if you aren't getting the damage you want/expected :)

The effect that strength has depends entirely on the targets armor. If the target has a lot of armor, then strength will increase your damage against that target but a large amount, but if the target has very little armor, then the strength will still increase the damage, but not by very much.
But it also depends on what kind of skills you intend to use and what situation you are in. No one can say that any one attribute is better than another, it's all about how you use your skills.

Depends what you want to do. If you're interested in tanking or adding defense then it's Tactics. There are some nice elites in Tactics, too. But if you're interested in raw damage, then Strength helps you push that DPS even higher. Especially when, as a War/Mon you pair it with something like Judge's Insight.

I like str. better. There are str. based shields. Str. helps your attack. There is also the ability to tank with str. There is endure pain and if you choose it as an elite also defy pain.

I tend to run (at 14) enough healing prayers to have a 2 regen value with Mending, then 9 axe (with +1 from helm) and 8 str.
I could probley drop my Axe skills for Sword or Hammer since the str skills are pretty good. Power Attack does +22 (might be off by one) every few seconds for 5 energy, then you have Sprint and Endure Pain (which gives me +200 life for 11 seconds). Combine that with the anti-block axe skill, -20% life, and -armor skills, you can dish out a pretty good amount of damage with a finishing blow of Exe Strike for 50 or so.
Only other type of Warrior / Monk I would want to try and making is a tank, using the armor signet, and a bunch of the protection prayers. Using only a couple of attacks, which might be sword for the bleeding damage (and with the chance of finding a +bleeding length weapon w/ crippling attacks so the enemy can't run and heal).
