Weapon Gallery

After nearing completion on my Armor Gallery (which can be found in this same forum), I had decided that I wanted to create a Weapons gallery for all of the weapons found in Guild Wars as well. Then, after I started, I realized the amount of work to be done and grew frustrated. Needless to say it got put on a indefinate hiatus.

But, I've got it online finally, and it can be found at the same place as the armor gallery, http://www.tel.eohjay.net

I'd like to give a major thanks to Scutilla as he is the one who brought me 99.9% of these pictures. I just did the easy stuff, such as compiling it and turning it into a website. The real credit for this should go to him.

I'd also like to think that we've got atleast 80% of the games weapons, shields, and foci listed right now, and we've got more in queue to be added.
The gallery should be complete very soon, but as always, any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can submit images we're missing the same was as you did with the armor gallery, through the submissions forum on the TEL site. Don't worry, you don't have to register to submit anything. ;)

You can leave a post in the forum on the site (the thread for it can be found here (http://eohjay.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27)), you don't need to register to post. Or, you can just post the pics here (I'll check back from time to time).

I'd appreciate if the screenshots are as big as possible (zoomed in on your character as much as possible while still showing the whole item), those two pics that were posted here already were great. I'll post a list of what's missing once I get things sorted out on my end a little. :rolleyes:

Also, feel free to contribute to the Armor and Green Item galleries, also found on the site.

Wow, that was fast :D Awesome response time, this should be easier than I thought.

As for the missing axe gallery, I was a numbskull when I sent the zip of screenshots to Eohjay, since apparently I missed the axes and the first half of the bows. :o They should be up soon.

Here's a list of all the items I know we're missing:

Normal drops: Swamp Club, Shiverpeak Hammer, Canthan Saber, Rat Cleaver
Green items: Missing Bortak's Bone Claw, Ivor's Icon, Ivor's Smiting Rod, Korvald's Chakram, The Soulstone, Vokur's Cane
Pre-order: Missing Chimeric Prism
Rare graphics: Think we have them all, but let us know if you find any others
Collector's: There is supposedly a collector south of Serenity Temple and just east of Fort Ranik that has a Fiery Flame Splitter (an axe I think). However, I can't find him- if someone could find the whereabouts of the collector (or a collector that has another Flame Splitter) that would be great.

This one is a quest reward for Cities of Ascalon Quest. Don't know if they removed it after the patch or not.

I also have a jewelled chalice that's Energy +12 (11 Inspiration) +4 Armor and -20 Health...but it has a regular chalice skin.

That we do, although I kinda cheated... for one of the quest rewards in Pre-Sear, Devona gives you a long sword with a crystalline sword graphic, which is what's in the gallery right now. :p My necromancer was having fun playing it for a while in Post-Sear, before I deleted him.

Just pulled a pretty big update to the Weapon Gallery. THe Axes section is now up, and I've thrown in a few random submissions and screenshots we've taken.

We're pretty close to finishing it up, so any help would be appreciated.

I'd also like to put out a request to the people who pre-ordered Guild Wars. We're looking for in game screenshots and screenshots of the statistics of each of the pre-order only items. Since we can't get these on our own, we're relying solely on submissions for that part.

Scutilla's last post has a updated list of what we need for the gallery, so if you're curious or want to help, just scroll up a bit.

There is actually one of those fake Crystallines in Post-Searing too. One of the quests in Piken's Square gives you it, but it may be a profession-specific quest.

I actually found a Crystalline in the Fissure of Woe a bit ago, but I got rid of it before we had plans to do the Weapons Gallery.

Well, the Pre-Searing ones aren't effective as weapons, the whole point would be to have a max sword with that look (they're no better or worse than any other sword in the game). I currently can't stand it (much prefer fellblades), but whatever sinks your submarine :p

Alright, a crapload of more stuff has been sent to Eohjay to be added to the site. This is the complete list of what we still need for all the galleries:

Accursed Rod
Rune (not Runic) Hammer
Runic Shield (could someone please check that these first three are actual items?)
Forked Sword
Short Sword (c'mon, that one should be easy)
Class armor for female monk (the version you buy from crafters, not the collector's or starting versions)
Class armor for male mesmer (we have a pic, but neither of us plays a mesmer so we don't know if it's the right armor :confused: )
Stat blocks for all pre-order items except Chimeric Prism and War Pick (some in-game pics would be awesome too)
Green items (both stat blocks and images of the weapons themselves are needed, check the green item gallery (http://tel.eohjay.net/green.html) to see what we need)

As always, keep an eye out for items or rare graphics we've missed- just today I found two hammers I had never seen before, so it's entirely possible- and in fact probable- that we've missed some stuff)
Also, Eohjay wouldn't mind having more than one pic of each armor- different dye schemes, etc.- so if you want your character to achieve Internet fame, here's your chance :p (We've got a thread in our site forum for armor submissions, so please keep this one to weapons only.)

Hard to believe that this is almost done- you guys have been a great help. :D I've got another project I plan on working on after this, I'll let you guys know if/when that gets started. Keep up the good work!

Dragon Armor is the 15k version of Wyvern's armor, and the pics in both categories are correct. There is a Chainmail armor (although it's not available in max AL), is that what you mean? It's not on the site (Joe, fix that :p), but here's a pic of it:

You bring up a valid point- you can buy armor with the original starter Ringmail graphic in Ascalon, so I assumed that ringmail was just the "class armor". But since it seems to be replaced by chainmail later on, perhaps they should both go in the Class Armors section. Anyways, I'll let Eohjay make the call.

Everything is up to date with what was posted here as of today.

Just pulled a site-wide update a few minutes earlier with a few new weapons, greens, and armors.

And as for the list of what we need posted a little bit above, it's still the same minus the Forked Sword. We did come across a new type of hammer earlier in the Underworld called Magma's Arm. Despite the neat name, it looks poopy.

Mmhmm- the starter armor has an unique graphic from all other armors, except in the case of ringmail, which gets upgraded to chainmail later in the game- but we've already had that conversation :p For some reason Eohjay's not putting the starter armors on the site, though. *shrugs*

Alright, here's the status on the weapon galleries.

Normal drops: Complete! Unless someone proves me wrong by getting a weapon drop not on the site, of course :p
Green items: Still far from complete... since I don't really farm greens I can't help much with that, but if anyone would post images of their greens (equipped image and stat block), that would be awesome.
Pre-order: We still need a couple of those, but since it's so hard to find them I'm not too worried.
Collector's: After re-reading hahnsoo's collector guide on GameFAQs, I've realized that there's a bunch of collector items still to put on there. I'm in the process of getting them, but I need help with a couple things:

1) There is supposedly a collector south of Serenity Temple and just east of Fort Ranik that has a Fiery Flame Splitter (an axe I think). However, I can't find him- if someone could find the whereabouts of the collector (or a collector that has another Flame Splitter) that would be great.

2) GuildWiki lists several items that I've never seen anywhere else. I assume they're collector items, however I don't know where to find them (if they even exist). So if you could keep an eye out...

Hmm... don't suppose you have pics of the items themselves?

Any idea where those things dropped for you? Their names would imply they're region specific items, but all the ones I've found on RPGTraders are max damage.

Good, I'm not crazy. If someone happens to find him on their travels I'd be much obliged if you'd let me know his location... hopefully he wasn't deleted altogether- I'm not sure whether I want to include no-longer-in-existance items (don't worry, I don't think I'm QUITE that anal...)

We have the plasma blade, shadow sword isn't currently a real sword and thus shouldn't be in there (although my warrior hopes to Grenth that they'll be in Chapter 2 :D )

for pure, unadulterated dmg, a sword warrior is the way to go. they have a MASSIVE advantage in that thier best attack skill (final strike vs eviscerate/cleave) doesnt take up an elite slot. this frees them up for the use of something like hundred blades, battle rage, or glads defense, without making any sacrifices as to maximum damage potential. the higher minimum damage also means that they will see less zeros when combating other warriors. in my opinion a sword war is best served with a mo seccondary; 2 of the most useful sword warrior skills in existance are purge conditions and judges insight. purge conditions helps to counter the condition-heavy builds of some axe warriors. and judges insight helps to increase your damage (especially vs other wars) substancially. if not mo, chose ranger; as with a pet you can get some needed disrupts or conditions/knockdown.
in terms of conditions, axes have a FAR greater advantage over swords.
sword warriors lack a long-term distract (disrupting chop vs distracting blow), and the ease in which an axe warrior can pile up weakness, deep wound, bleeding, crippled and dazed conditions, far exceeds that of a sword warrior. in my opinion an axe war is best served with a ranger seccondary, to provide him with more disrupts, attack options. this puts you on a more even playing field damage-wise, as a sword warrior.
and the advantage of hammer warriors? a string but slow hit, which vs other warriors is often suicidal, at the same time, provides them the ability to beat the heck out of casters at amazing speeds. they also have knockdown, which when piled up becomes not only severely deadly, but highly annoying. in my opinion a hammer war is best served with an ele seccondary to increase knockdown skills, or with ranger seccondary (a pet), to increase damage; a hammer war can operate as a knockdown warrior WITHOUT an ele seccondary, it just makes the build easier to pursue.
another good choice is a monk seccondary; as w/ judges insight/strength and honor you can do ridiculous damage.

Wow, that necro staff and that shield look absolutely amazing in my opinion. The monk offhand and mesmer staff are pretty cool too.

I'll toss up the idea of adding those to the gallery, but I've still got an armor and green item update in queue for when the mood strikes. We'll see.

Er, yeah, sorry... we've gotten pics from so many different places that I can't keep track of which ones I took personally, which ones were submitted by the forums, and which ones were ones I just randomly found on the Internet... I suppose I coulda kept track of that stuff from the beginning, but too late now. With all the rare items, it would've been pretty impossible to get all the really rare ones by ourselves. If you (or anyone else) don't want your pic on the site, just say so and we'll take it down.

Anyways, new weapons and armors are up (including Scars and Knights, which were mysteriously missing), and a ginormous greens update is next.

Green items we're missing: Bortak's Bone Claw, Ivor's Icon, Ivor's Smiting Rod, Korvald's Chakram, The Soulstone, and Vokur's Cane. All in-game pics, not the stat blocks. Also if someone has a Chimeric Prism and wants to post a pic, that would be awesome.

That would be the Quicksilver, one of the Korean CokePlay items.
