There's no reason to stop a constructive conversation if it may lead to more ideas for change. As it stands, the threads that become stagnant with either flames or incessant argument between two immotile parties are closed as per the forum rules, so I don't know what the advantage would be in closing a topic on something that's been implemented. (as opposed to the current forum mechanics)
