well, i've seen the fissure armor for female warriors, and i have to say it looks rather strange..i much prefer my 15k gladiator armor...i really wish they would update the fissure armor and make the different types of armor in each class look different. i.e gladiator fissure armor would look different than dragon fissure armor...same with the ele armor, etc..until then, i think i'll be saving my supplies up.

All armors for all classes need ectoplasm
All armors except the monk tatto and necro scars need shards.
For the monk tatto and necro scars you need other material though like cloth, linen etc..

Yup only warriros get the Ascalon and Wyvern headpiece.
All other classes get 4 armor pieces only. For the headpiece you need to use the normal ones from the game

To be able to craft Obsidian armor in Fissure of Woe you need to complete 4 quests.

1. First Rastigans quest at the Tower of Courage.

2. Next you need to spawn the 3 NPC's in the fields of undead and complete the Eternal Forgemaster Quest from those NPCs.

3. Then you must do the "Defend the Temple of War" quest from the Eternal Forgemaster.

4. Upon completing that, you must take his next quest "Restore the Temple of War.

Once you complete that, the Eternal Forgemaster will craft armor for you.

Yes, each time you enter the Fissure you have to complete the quests to get the armor. You do not have to clear the entire Fissure or beat every quest, but you do have to complete a couple of quests and clear the forge area itself.

For those of you that don't know, all Fissure Armor looks exactly the same (depending on your class ... i.e., Warrior, Monk, Necro .. etc. etc.). The only thing that is different is the Name of the armor.

For example, if you see a picture of a Warrior with FoW armor, he could be wearing the Ascalon, Wyvern, or Dragon. You have to ask the person which type they are actually wearing.

Another example, Saintly, Ascetic's, Wander's, Judge's, and Sainly Fissure Armor looks the same. Commonly, people get the Ascetic's because people don't have to wear tatoos anymore.

Generally for warriors, if your going for full gladiators+ascalon helm you need 400 iron, about 120 tanned hides(a bit less than 120 but i bought more for the sake of it) and 5 fur squares

Serious question, Why is a full set of Fissure armour so expensive? Rough estimates put it around 1.5 million for a set. Which, after all the anti-farm nerfing Arena Net has done; this seems a little redundant on their behalf.

Its cool looking armour, but its extremely overpriced. Hopefully the 'Mega Armour' in the second part of the game has upgraded stats as well as looks.

It's meant as a status symbol. If you're rich and you want people to know it, get fissure armor.

A long time ago they changed the icon for obsidian shard. That's what they used to look like. It's just an old screenshot :)

Soooo....

This is going to cost me unless I find 75 shards and ecto...

1,117,500k at current market prices...

I'll let you in on a little secret, my gloves are 15k Noble, no one sees teh gloves anyway :p

That's amazing, considering theres no need for fissure gloves and no head piece, this could be the most economic (though still hellishly expensive) fissure armor.

Sadly, my time restriction is more prohibitive to me getting FOW armor than the actual in-game cost. I would love to get at least the helm for my warrior, but i'm never online long enough to even try to get into a group going through the quests to reach the forgemaster. BLEAH!!!

Updated screenshots of materials needed for ALL professions would be preferable. Anyone up for the challenge? Apparently, beating Nahpui is the equivalent of ascending, and you can gain access to FOW from Zin Ku Corridor...

As of this morning, I've seen updated material screenshots for the Rit, Ass, Tank, Monk, and Ele. Someone more computer literate than I should try getting these onto Wiki.
