EDIT(Sept. 5th, 2005) I switched over to a MUCH better host and TOTALLY redid the site. The layout, the armors covered, and so on. There is a lot more content now, it's much more visually appealing, and much easier to navigate.

Due to many suggestions I am now covering ALL armors. This means FoW, 15k, Droknar's, Collector's, and Class armors. Now, the FoW section is complete, and 15k is almost there, but for these newer ones I'm going to need your help through submissions. I ask that if you can get a picture of an armor I don't have, that you please submit it.

And, even though it's posted on the news page, so people can't complain, if the first picture of a row shows as a broken link, it is NOT a broken link. It means I have zero shots of that armor and it's acting as a placeholder until I get one.

I've been lurking around here for quite a while, among other guild wars related forums, but I figured I'd finally come out of hiding. I believe I've got a pretty darned good reason, too.

You see, I'm a fan of looking through screenshots and such, more specifically the different armor types available. Well, I had planned on creating a little glalery for myself on my webspace pureply for personal use. Nothing fancy, just a page with pictures...

Upon deeper thought, though, I figured this could be a chance to finally give back to the communtiy I've been lurking in and leeching from for a few months now, so I decided I'd put some work into it and give the link out to the public.

So, I've got a neat little armor gallery starting out at the site of different 15k armors, fissure armors, and collector's armors that I've gathered from different threads whilst browsing. So far, it's a decent size, and I'd got multiple angles and colors of most armors, but I'd like to get even more. I'd love for people to submit screens to the sit for me to add to my "official" galleries and such. The more submissions, the merrier, and the better of a resource it becomes for places shopping around for armor.

Anyways, I hope people get some use out of it, enjoy browsing it, and perhaps even contribute. Without further ado... http://tel.eohjay.net

Some aren't even correct. Your "male ranger fissure armour" is 15k Drakescale dyed black.

Some aren't even correct. Your "male ranger fissure armour" is 15k Drakescale dyed black.

Figured I'd tackle all of these together. Yes, it is a work in progress, so no not everything is going to be perfect. Thanks for the tip on the male fissure armor, I appreciate people pointing out mistakes, but that is the male fissure armor. Simply open up a picture of both and look at them side by side. There are many differences, including a big horn jutting out of the elbow in the Drakescale version, and not in the fissure version. If you found any other mistakes, though, please point them out.

And as for the not connecting, it's due to my host. I've always had problems with them, but I've never switched for some odd reason. If the site doesn't load for you by clicking on it, simply type in the URL. It's a short URL and that always seems to solve the problem.

Thanks! I appreciate it. I was disappointed in the lack of views and replies, as well as the lack of submissions thus far, but I suppose it's only natural. I appreciate putting the link up there and I'd appreciate it if people would spread the word and hand the link to friends and such.

I plan on doing so when a get a bit more free time and motivation. It'd help out a lot if I could get someone to submit stuff like the locations, materials, and statistics on the armors.

I hadn't thought of that, I just assumed a forum-format would be the easiest to navigate. I've never attempted a wiki before, but I'll look into it and see what potential it would have.

I may do that in the future, if this picks up. As I said before, I'm not really a fan of the layout as of now, and it's all just me, so once I figure things out I'll be adding more stuff.

I don't know what to tell you. A few people have said that they can't view any of the pictures. I'm just assuming it has something to do with imageshack.

Thanks! The male mesmer FoW armor has been a bit tough to find. Now that I see it, I don't understand. I think it's dead sexy.

I'm nearing the date of my new hosting plan, and domain name, so the URL will be changing in about a month as notice. But, with the URL change is going to come a MASSIVE update that will make the gallery much more impressive.

You shouldn't have to join to post in the armor submissions forum. I left the permissions on that section to allow everyone to post.

Someone had already posted without registering as well, so as far as I know it should be working.

What was the error you were getting?

No I wasn't able to get the post option. When I clicked on new post nothing happend. We use Firefox and sometimes it is a little funny like that.

Anyway I see you have used some of the photos I posted. Glad I could help out as I always want to see what others are wearing. Especially when you see someone and before you know it they have gone!

Sorry, this isn't a request thread. But, I know for a fact that there is another thread in this same forum that answers that.

I don't believe there are 15k scar patterns, only 8k. I could be wrong, however.

Only suggestion I would make is make sure all of them are undyed. Ya, almost impossible but try and do it.

I don't understand why you would want them all undyed. The purpose of the gallery is to get as many different shots of armor from different angles and of different colors as possible. Some people would like to know how red dye would look on their armor before they dye it, and whatnot.

I double checked another gallery and yep it's fissure alright. You can tell if you look at the boots.

Anyways, I just made a massive update that pretty much cleared over half of my "to get" list. If anyone could help me touch it up with the last few remaining shots it'd be greatly appreciated.

I have also moved the site one last time, for several reasons.

Mainly, I realized that it was getting 25-30GB of bandwidth transfer (yes, that's quite a lot!) per month, so I figured I had better make it a bit more appealing. And, you know, with that much bandwidth usage the amount of unique visitors was pretty high as well, which led to disappointment in the amount of people who are actually contributing.

So, I got a new template up and running and switched it over to http://tel.eohjay.net

It's still being hosted and maintained by me, just at a subdomain for a guild I had just created. More info is at the site on the guild if anyone is curious.

I have placed a redirect at www.eohjay.net/guildwars so there shouldn't be much confusion, and after posting a notice here I believe I've covered all of my bases.

You've come along way since my first post on this thread! Congrats! :) The new site looks pretty nice too, much more organized than the first Forum setup you had. And alot of good submissions out there too.

Over the past 2-3 days it's been inexplicably going down for periods of about 15 minutes. It hasn't been happening frequently enough for me to complain and badger my host, so I'm assuming that they're just having some minor server problems. I'm pretty sure it's back on track for good now, but if you catch it down just try back again later.

can i make 2 suggestions:

A section where people can post their mix and match armor sets, and you can post any youd like on your gallery, and a section where the 15k and fow armor of each class is shown in own pic so people can just view one pic to see all the armors, if you think thats a good idea, let me contribute my warrirs:

Wow, you found the error not a few hours after it happened. Thanks.

I had just put the weapon and green gallery up at about 7 o clock on the morning, I guess I was too tired to catch that mistake.

Chainmail from Ventari's Refuge (Not max AL). People often forget about this "lower level" armor. But I think its sezy~ Heres a pic and zoom, taken at Perdition Rock. You won't believe how many people don't recognize this armor.

Just did a bit of an update on the armor section earlier today, figured I'd post that there was an update here incase anyone was following the topic.

The necro scars are 8k, but the required 400 velum sure pushed the cost to 15k proportions. I didn't see any necro scar armor pictures on your site, so here's a full female "15k" Marhan's Grotto set for you:

the fissure armor has one shoulder visible, the 15k drakescale has both shoulders covered =P

It's been a while, but I pulled a decently sized update to the armor gallery today. The mood hasn't been striking me lately for updating the site, but I was in the mood tonight.

Also, keep checking back, as I've got a mammoth sized green items update in queue.

Yeah, the submissions link doesn't work, and won't really be fixed. Ever. :P

Im actually working on a new template for the site that is a lot more visually appealing, so I haven't been updating it lately due to that. Once the new temple comes out, it will contain everything I've got in queue, and it will have a new gallery we're in the process of compiling.

But, the update today deserved a site update. So, I bring you

I'll save both of the pictures you guys submit to add, but don't expect them to be put in until the template update which will happen in around a week. Then again, who knows, people were dying for Tormentors so I may make an exception even though we've got a picture or two up already.

Yeah, that's the old version of the pyromancer that was available during beta testing, it's just being worn by Aziure.

Personally I like it more than the 15k Pyromancer we've got now, but atleast that kept it in the game, even if it's just a cameo.

It would be nice to see smoe improvements on the Censor armor especailly that of the 1.5 version of it looking similiar to the 15K Judges.How would you get Censor armor to look like this color.

Il add some photos of 15k Geomancer, 15k Druids, 15k Wanderers and Mesmer FoW later on tonite or tomorrow, you would save yourself a lot of work by making it a wiki, people could just add their own pics.

Normally you'd just post a screenshot here... however, the galleries (and the site as a whole) are in dire need of revamping. Eohjay's working on a new site format and the armor gallery, and I'm collecting one weapon of each skin so we can have a consistant picture format for the weapons. We'll be sure to post here when we get the new site up ;)

For green items, you're welcome to post anything we don't have yet here- I'm not crazy enough to collect all of those and screenshot them myself, we'll just be using shots submitted by other people like we have been :p

Ritualist items, I suspect they will change to the new skins (which we saw during the PvP Weekend) once Factions is released, so I'll wait til then to tackle them. Once Factions comes out we'll probably make a thread to get a complete listing of the new items.

If you find a crap version of any of the following weapons you don't want and want to donate it so I can get a pic for the new galleries when we make them, it would help out a bunch: Dwarven Axe, Righteous Maul, Warhammer (spiky skin), Ivory Bow, Long Bow ("fleshy" skin), Storm Bow, Ghostly Staff, Eternal Shield, Magmas Shield (the flesh bow and spiky hammer are the ones I need the most, the rest can probably be found in a couple FoW/UW runs).
