Picky with Avatars?

Hi everyone, I've been on your site for about a day and a half but I've run into a small problem. I've tried all kinds of files, from raw screenie files straight from my computer, to hosted,(www.imageshack.us and www.photobucket.com) and nothing seems to work. It always says

This is not a valid image file. or

Invalid File
or
Invalid URL :confused:

Now I'm not sure what vBulletin's avatar requirements are, but compared to other boards I've been on, they seem very picky. Obviously other people haven't had problems, and I guess thats because they know the reqs...just giving my 2 cents .

100x100 image. Less than 19kb in size, and must be PNG or JPG (BMP possibly as well but I'm reciting this from memory).

You may not upload animated GIFs.

hehe I had this kinda problem, then realised I was using the wrong file type. then the file was too big... you'll get there in the end.

use a jpg that's under 19.5kb and less than 100x100

no no, I tried multiple ways to load the very avatar I have now. It wasnt the size, I've made it fit into 100x90 specs, turns out it just wasnt in the right format when I put it into the space, thats all.
