An RP board would be...interesting. It's been tried on other boards and, indeed, when we first were setting things up here we tried to include a board based RPG system before we settled on our Arcade. And sitting around somewhere I do have an attempt at creating rules for transfering GW battles and gameplay to a play by post or tabletop environment - although I'd imagine such a board would be more for the straight up roleplaying.

I'm just not sure if there's enough interest to carry such an idea forward. So, I'm going to put up a poll in an attempt to see what people feel.

I think once the games released ways more people will get interested in this forum and once we got ways more a RP forum would get more or less popular too :p, still adding one now would be nice too so people waiting for GW could spend their time RPing xD

I give a yes to that idea, although not a very frequent forum roleplayer I will occasionally roleplay online if there is a decent community for roleplaying. The roleplay forums could serve as a discussion about the history and lore of GuildWars. Most times that I frequent roleplay forums is to find out a more definite history so to create a background for my character :cool:

i have 3 friends that are obbsesed with the one down at TGH forums, they post every ten min, lol. i think this would draw some visitors attention, and i might post in it every once in a while, so i vote other because

i like the idea but i will only post a little in it :D

I have seen the one at TGH And would lave to have one here. I would be one of those post jukies and it would give all of us something to do until the next BWE

Well, the response wasn't overwhelming. But no one seemed opposed to the idea, so we now have a Role-Playing forum, Lyssa's Theater (http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=20). Enjoy.

i love reading and a froum like that would be a neverending story :D

I have never tried rp before and since i am just waiting for next BWE sure i would do this. There are also times when i am just not in the mood to play and i think this would be a fun alternative for a bit.
