Demoted to Lion's Arch Merchant?!?

LOL, OK I can accept that I guess...

But really, is there some reason for this? I've also noticed some of my posts from Jan-Feb timeframe have mysteriously vanished (specifically, a couple posts about farming Craw Stonereap and Zarnas Stonewrath in Arborstone, with builds).

I didn't start thread. So, can creator of thread delete it, thus deleting all replies as well? It was a very legitimate farming thread with build info that isn't listed at the pvxwiki. How do I search archives (I've only seen them before on google searches)?

Maybe those threads were deleted, or some mods deleted some posts manually to clean threads... don't know. But seems a little strange that 2-3 months old posts disappear..

They possibly have been archived after not being used in a while. In order to keep the server space relatively clean the mods can delete old threads that have fallen into obscurity. No big, just helps keep the server run a bit smoother.

Threads are not deleted because they are old, except by acts of Inde. You can view posts made back in December 2004 if you wanted to. If a thread is deleted for whatever reason, all replies to it are deleted as well and it is impossible for normal posters to view them.

That particular thread was deleted because it was posted by a permabanned user coming back under an alt account. He posts crappy and/or stolen builds anyway, so no big loss. If you want the info in your posts, just send me a PM.

Any better or any worse, I don't post very frequently. I helped contribute to a number of farming builds, most notably the [hundred blades][mark of pain] build, which mows down all 34 raptors plus boss in 50 seconds turnaround time. Resetting me to nub rank w/o any explanation seems ... well ... underhanded. Least you could do is PM those you demote with some reasoning. I know when I read other's posts, I place some value in their rank.

Post count means shit. Mine is high due to doing a lot of PCing/spamming PC back in the day. Doesn't make me better then anyone else though. It's just a number.

You didn't get demoted, your posts got deleted. If we have to PM everyone who gets "demoted" in forum rank because we delete their posts, well, it's a waste of time.
