Well my alliance is being an asshole (yes the whole thing at once). My current skills are

Charm Animal
Edge of Extinction
Poisonous Bite
Feral Aggression
Feral Lunge
Winnowing
Heal as One (elite)
Ice Prison (Was Empty)

I am a survivor, and hope this will work.

Does this look good?

Good for what? The 3 missions to ascend, or the actuall ascension mission at Augury Rock? If you want to use that at Dunes, Elona, and Thirsty, I hope your team is prepared for the extra damage it will face from Winnowing and possibly EoE. If using it for the Doppleganger, it has some useless skills. The pet is a good idea for the Doppleganger, as it won't have one. Taking skills that it will use, but not effect you are also good. Spirits like Winter work nicely as it takes time to set it, but doesn't effect you at all. Basically you will do better to just load pet attacks and kill him fast. He'll hurt you with his attacks, but not much without skills to use, and you can easily heal that damage with your elite.

If for doppelganger, bring some very long casting skills like Meteor Shower or w.e which you can run out on very easy but makes him waste alot of time. And indeed bring that pet of yours :)

From the older wiki http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Guide_to_defeating_doppelganger

Ranger

Bring many slow-casting Nature Rituals like Favorable Winds and Quickening Zephyr. The Doppelganger will waste time casting the rituals while you attack.

Equip bow attacks and stay within melee range of the Doppelganger; it will switch to its axe and thus be unable to use the bow attacks.

Alternatively, get your pet to do all the damage. Skills like Enraged Lunge, Call of Protection and Symbiotic Bond work pretty well. To prevent taking too much damage, try to hide behind a wall and let your pet do the dirty work. Another way is to just bring the skill charm animal, a high level pet along with a few arrows should defeat Doppelganger easily.

Cast one of the Conjure Element enchants before you enter, put 3 spirits on the left of your bar, equip 3 bow attacks, run to melee range, and blow him up with your bow. Done in ~15 seconds or less. What does your alliance or anyone else have to do with a solo mission? No one else may join you for the Doppelganger.

They wouldn't help with a build. Beat it in 7 seconds with my pet.

Easiest way to kill him is just take Empathy and a blocking stance... although you don't even need one, you can just avoid his spears and let him kill himself :)

How does an R/E use Empathy? Sounds like a good trick, considering that he can't change profession until AFTER beating the Doppel.

All of my early characters, including my ele and monk, beat the Doppel using pet attacks. One trick I used was adding a long-duration, useless enchant to the left of the bar (such as Aura of Restoration on my R/E and E/R) and bringing Melandru's Assault as one of the pet attacks, since it does + damage to foes with an enchant. I had no elite BM skills then, since I had only been playing GW a short time and started all the characters in Prophecies.

[Backfire] [flare] works well too but you need to do some serious skill capping to make it work on a ranger..................

LOL this is a joke

5 spirits
apply poison
conjure

use apply and conjure just before stepping on the third stone. Dop will cast spirits and be dead before he has finished, having never even attacked you.

Oh.. right. I'm sorry about that, kinda forgot he was R/E by the time I got to page 3.

I have no excuse. :(

1. Bring pets skills and a pet.
2. Bring spirits.

I can't see how you could possibly lose. Even if you did nothing but autoattack you shouldn't lose with spirits on the bar and a pet.
