Sorry i had to post it here, because normal reports have to be moderated, seems to be when there is something wrong no-one can know about it.
But i really dislike what guildwarsguru is going through, seems they need every buck and even support the gold trade spammers, look at the screen shot.

Ummm....
wut?
1. Nothing can be done about gold sellers here - report 'em to A-Net.
2. I didn't see any gold sellers in the SS (gw005.jpg)
3. If you DO have a SS with gold sellers, account buyers, whatever - the rule on Guru is No names!

Look again. It's a gold selling ad on Guru, not in game.

Yes its not in game, but GWG is supporting the sale of gold.
Thats his point, there supporting the gold sellers......

Guru has little to no control over that ad-space methinks. They just get paid by an ad agency for the space and product messages show up.

And that was the point I was making to Kook~NBK~. Maybe my post wasn't clear...

I think you're exactly right...

This thread will be close soon.
Normally i don't read those ads, now that you post it, you are sort of helping the ads ... which defeat the purpose of complaining about the ads in the first place ...

Ya Guru has no real control over the ads that show. They are just like a billboard, pay money and your ad is posted.

As someone previously said, gwg doesnt control what ad's are put up in the space they let other people use. How else you think they make money?

Looks to me like some little Anet ninja plotting his big sting operation on the gold buyers.

Then explain to me why before the hack there was no gold selling spam, and after the hack the report forum get's moderated.

It's not the first time, nor will it be the last. It happens. It doesn't mean GWG is supporting it and it doesn't mean they're desperate. No conspiracy, no hidden meanings, no great cover-up. It just means something slipped through the filters.
I'm sure they'll catch it and I'm sure they'll remove it from the rotation.

Guru ads are not hand picked by Guru admin. -.o

Actually you DO have control over ads. except not directly and instantly. Usually the ad gets inserted and then Guru or whoever manages the site, emails some kind of support (unless they do it themselves) and tells them about he ad(s) that are showing up. Then it can be taken care of.
So, yes they can take care of it, but NO I don't think they supported gold sellers. Probably just showed up.

Because there were and you never noticed. They were reported to the administrators and removed promptly.

Guru in no way supports any actions that are in violation of Guild Wars rules, terms of service, or the end user license agreement of the aforementioned game.

they dont support it but they have no choice and they cannot possibly limit all possible ad servers, the best you can do is repot it and quit whining.

I can go ahead and see about getting that removed. As just an FYI though, if the post is moderated for some reason I do indeed see it. :) The person who needs to see it does, so you can post and know that my eyes will definitely come across that. Doesn't matter if it's deleted, moderated, moved... well you get the point.
Thanks for the screenshot.

Sorry if i did post this in the wrong froum, but i cant wait on a report to get it moderated first, reports are much to important for that.
I also understand some people are making fake reports, if i am one of them ban me, screw me, or whatever for just ten bucks :D
But honestly before the last hack there where almost no gold traders at all.

You like to jump to accusations a lot Emunator. :) It's fine, and you are wrong actually about "before the hack". It's been a continuous problem for months now. I'll try to crack down again.

It's more like a futile effort really. Which is why a lot of people are doing the song and dance of "they can't control what's displayed" (true) or "there's nothing they can do to stop them" (partially true). I'll see how many I can pull up and put them on the list for a deletion from our ad server. Can't guarantee anything though as they just come back in a few weeks.

I know you do a great job Inde, just was anoyed about report getting moderated, you never know when moderators actually read it. And other peoples cant comply to it up front.
So keep up the good work Inde.
