I want to map as a ranger through running

where mapping is concrened be careful cause lagg will cause you to miss some spots when using running skills. If you are scraping the area for map slow and steady win this race. for the more open areas the standard running skills can be of some use storm chaser, escape elite*, and several of the beast mastery skills have speed boosts.

Also, when scraping the walls, face it at about a 45degree angle and don't use speed boosts.

When you use speed boosts you'll overshoot some of the small gaps there, and thus not explore the map fully.

or just vanquish while you map. When you are all done with a zone you can then edge walk it w/o any fear of getting killed. Worked well for me as I got my legendary vanquishing and legedary cartographer within 15 minutes of each other. Good luck w/e method you choose, it is quite a grind

I did my mapping in NM with a full team, theres no real reason to go out alone. Only engage enemies that cross your path and don't make any effort to pursue enemies that run away and it shouldnt take any longer than running it, and its a lot safer. Might want to take a para or two with [["Fall Back!"] and [["Charge!"], keep them disabled and hit them when running, it helps a loooooooot to speed up runs.
