could whirling defense be used to farm?

hi all, i was just wondering if whirling defense could be used to farm? ive never used it - i always thought the recharge time was stupid, but maybe with a hammer build, it could be used to great benefit and have a similar effect to sliver armor?

There was a build not long ago involving Whirling defense and Mark Of Pain to farm the spiders outside of the Sunspear Great Hall.

I believe you can use Defiant Was Xinrae to farm Snowmen, and stand infront of them to watch them die by your dancing.
Easy to do in NM, you have to bring a lot of block skills in HM, and then you can farm the first two groups.

Yup as Turbo says, Grawl bombing, used that to lvl a monk friend when they didnt have EoTN.

+4 BM Mask
+4 Expertise mask

run out of port sledge, straight ahead of you if there are grawl before the cliffs then rezone.
If not place EoE with the BM mask on, change to exp mask and run and agro all you can with zojuns
When zojuns runs out, activate lightning reflexes and run to the top of the cliff (in range of EoE)
Activate VwK and I Am unstoppable (to avoid knockdown)
When VwK is about to end, put on WD and spam mend body and soul and vengeful weapon as energy and health dictate
In a few secs most (if not all) grawl will go pop!

Nah the true grawl bombing build was
[EoE][dodge][Dryder's Defenses][whirling defense][mark of pain][oath shot][throw dirt][troll unguent]
nerfed when EoE got changed to affect only foes <90%hp, you can't kill the necros now.
Fun as hell when things exploded.

yes Whirling Defense can be used for farming.
the 2 known farming places with it are grawls in witman's foly and insects in the planes of jarin.

Yes it can be used to farm quite well I posted the original farm build for snowman layer using pve skills whirling defense and defiant was xinrae for quick snowman farming. It can work in any place with lots of casters that wand and aren't too deadly or lots of rangers without skills like called shot. The 3 best known are the spiders,grawl,and snowmen. I am sure there is other spots you could do it.

This works very well for bombing Zehnehlun and his critters; probably the fastest build for them.

However they don't really drop anything worthwhile.
