There. Interrupts.I thought heroes used [[Magebane Shot] as a damaging attack skill instead of an interrupt.

They do. I mean they interrupt also attacks, not attack skills, attacks.

Hero interrupters aren't used for their great choice of interrupts. Any interrupt you put on a heroes bar won't be used as wisely as it would be on a real players bar.

[broad head arrow][distracting shot]

Should be all you ever need. I would personally choose something apart from Ranger interrupters in the case of AI though.

SoR hero Paragon with Cry of Frustration anyone?

Agree with Tyla on the BHA front. Can't go wrong very easily because it's dazed, and dazed is always ftw (when it's on other people)

Epidemic or hypochondria would be nice for multiple casters too. I prefer a dazing para over a ranger though, since they have burning and deep wound.

[Apply Poison][Broad Head Arrow][Concussion Shot][Distracting Shot][Needling Shot][Waste Not, Want Not][Lightning Reflexes][Resurrection Signet]

Daze ftw. It doesn't really matter what he interrupts since daze will interrupt everything after that.

Epidemic isn't so great on a hero since they have no priority of when to use it.

Paragons need to hit something 5 times before they can daze. Not really that great.

But paragons can also inflict deep wound and burning. Are BHA and CS really needed on the same bar? I'd rather put in something like keen arrow or dshot

I ran something like this a while ago:

[Broad Head Arrow][Distracting Shot][Sloth Hunter's Shot][Epidemic][Apply Poison][Natural Stride][Troll Unguent][Resurrection Signet]

Replace apply with [[Screaming Shot] and Sloth Hunter's with [[Volley] for a slight variation.

Concussion Shot seems like total overkill, and very expensive for a hero ranger. Waste Not, Want Not seems wrong. You're needing to invest points in Inspiration for that... If I were you, I'd inject a little synergy into the team. Give someone else Cracked Armor ([[Sundering Weapon], [[Shell Shock]) and give your Hero Ranger [[Body Shot] instead. You can then ditch Waste Not, Want Not. I'd swap Concussion Shot out for either Epidemic or Savage Shot.

Epidemic isn't so great on a hero since they have no priority of when to use it.
Better than not having it imo. I see my heroes use it pretty frequently, and yes, it's pot luck sometimes if they use it right, but at least they have it, and if you need to you can micro it.

And that is the problem with ranger interrupt heroes. You need to live with the micro managing for line of sight, adjust distance so BHA doesn't get dodged, and now for epidemic also. I hardly see them use epidemic and when they do, there were no adjacent monsters for epidemic to work. They even cast it on the last monster left standing sometimes.

Many builds appear nice on paper, as long as you dont try them out on a hero in HM.

I run this, works fine.
[broad head arrow][savage shot][distracting shot][volley][splinter weapon][body shot][no skill][no skill]

Put Lightning Reflexes, Whirling Defense, Death Pact Signet...whatever, into the optional slots.

Take [[weaken armor] or [[shell shock] on another toon for energy management.

Shell Shock only works on one target and there's no guarantee the hero ranger won't Body Shot someone who doesn't have cracked armor active.
I would use Weaken Armor with Body Shot but heroes spam the heck out of that spell, reapplying it when the previous activation is still healthy.

TBH I play Ranger myself mainly so I don't have that much experience with hero Ranger interrupters. But I have found Concussion Shot very useful because one source of daze every 15 seconds is not really enough in HM to stop casters, and PvE casters are predictable enough to make Concussion Shot reliable. Heroes with their godly reflexes can certainly make it worthwhile. BHA I'd disable and micro on Monks and stuff, and leave Concussion Shot up to the hero to spread.

WNWN can be suited with another energy management skill. Sundering Weapon + Body Shot looks interesting but I don't know if I want to sacrifice Splinter for it.

But paragons can also inflict deep wound and burning. Are BHA and CS really needed on the same bar? I'd rather put in something like keen arrow or dshot

If I'm taking a Paragon in the team, I'd rather he be running SY!, not Stunning Strike. Dshot is already on the bar; how can you have a Ranger bar without it. Keen Arrow sucks hard in HM PvE.

I prefer your bar with [epidemic] ... to spread daze. I run a necro with Weaken armor ... so, energy wont be a problem for this ranger.
Another option its to use a e\rt blindbot chaneller HERO. This way you can spread blindness, daze and cracked armor.
Your hero ranger wont have energy problems and you can micromanage splinter weapon, making the ele hero use it on the hero ranger
