Hi,
Well unfortunately I haven't gotten round to playing ranger as my primary, but I do take one in my condition team. This is my hero Interrupter build.
[Distracting shot][BHA][Volley][Point Blank Shot][Epidemic][Power Drain][Leech Signet][Elemental Resistance]
I can change Elemental Resistance for the Mantra of my choosing. or put Hex Eater Signet in should the enviroment require it. I didn't put a self heal in there because bleeding, blind, crippled, cracked armored, diseased, dazed, posioned, weakened melee don't hit that hard. Ofcourse they won't have all those conditions on them all the time(mostly they will be dead), but you get the idea.
What are your thoughts on the bow? I got unique at the moment, Zealous/15^50/+30 hp Flatbow, just because it was lying around, but I reckon I'll change it for a Silencing/15^ in Stance/+30 Recurve bow. This build is made to do what it says on the tin. It's meant for a hero, so that being said, I'd enjoy some suggestions.

sorry but I really don't like it...
on a hero ...BHA,savage shot, distracting shot, whirling defence or lightning reflexes, then with /rit as secondary with splinter wep, warmongers wep,DPS etc...
is a better alternative....
point blank shot is pointless IMo...savage shot is a better alternative...splinter wep is better then volley as well as its applicable to you and your allys ^^
epidemic is nice...but r/rit is probs btr IMo on a hero!
mantra or whatnot is not needed if your monks are good...
leech signet can be replaced with another interupt or the majorly important self-heal!
just my thoughts as a ranger
----also what is this build for? I don't believe it will work in HM...but in NM it may do its job but there as much better heroes that can be used for NM/HM or whatever...
but yer what is this build for?

No need to be sorry,
I posted it because I wanted input on it. You do realise this is part of a condition team, its job is to apply daze and spead it. While a enemy is dazed any attack will interrupt? hence the Volley. Point blank shot is there because my main is an Assassin so combat is usally done mid to short range. Considering I needed Epidemic, I tried to get some use out of the Mes secondary and since the only problem I could see was energy related I went inspiration. I got Splinter on my MM, and this is meant for NM.
Thanks.
P.S need to hear about the bow I should be using..
@Miskey ...Recurve it is then.
@Payne Ill post the team when I get access to Guild wars, I do use Fragility, as for Favoured Dreams its a beautiful skill in this situtation no doubt. However my Ele uses Blinding Flash, my Nec Virulence, the ranger BHA so that leaves me, It would take some convincing for me to remove Assassins Promise from my bar, but I will give it a try.

Shortbow/Recurve bow for BHA, imo.

ok as its part of condition yes...although you may be able to play as shattering assault? and have ranger as burning arrow to add in a burning effect maybe?
another alternative to epidemic is a [fevered dreams] mesmer maybe for ultimate condition with [fragility] and so on?
if you could post your normal heroes (all 3?) then I can be more helpful with input!
Shortbow/Recurve bow for BHA, imo.
recurve bow of silencing IMO

I would say replace the mes interupts with [[savage shot] and [[whirling defense] and elemental attunement with either a res or [[troll unguent].
Thats my 2 cents.

Heres the team as one so you can see it.
[eremites attack][reapers sweep][mystic sweep][reap impurities][critical agility][critical defenses][assassins remedy][way of the master]
[death nova][virulence][animate shambling horror][animate bone minions][dark bond][signet of lost souls][splinter weapon][warmongers weapon]
[shock arrow][blinding surge][shell shock][Teinai's Wind][air attunement][epidemic][fragility][soothing images]
[Distracting Shot][Broad Head Arrow][Volley][Point Blank Shot][Epidemic][Power Drain][Leech Signet][Elemental Resistance]
I enjoy it, need to micro Fragility and Soothing to avoid energy burn. Total offence, add 2 hench monks, a melee and another of your choice and go bash stuff.

Why can't you just stick with [distracting shot] and [savage shot]? Adding Mesmer interrupting skills just seem repetitive. Why is point blank shot on this anyway?
My bow recommendation is recurve for general purposes or shortbow when using BHA often. Recurve could do instead of shortbow if you wanted to.
Silencing string and +30 of course. 15^50 is what I always go with.

The Power Drain and Leech Signet interrupts are a waste. Especially since you have 2 interrupts already.
Savage for Point Blank, and Elemental Resistance?
And why run Epidemic on the Elementalist aswell?

Morning,
I always, said I was unsure about the secondary for the ranger having never played one, but what I did notice was a lack of energy, if you can recommend a good alternative feel free. Point blank is in there , because its a solid skill imo low energy and fast recharge. Considering my main is melee the team tends to rush in with me unless I flag them, why not have a good spamable close range bow attack?
The Ele has always run Epidemic Tyla, because I wanted fragility in there and at 10 energy using the Ele seemed a solid choice, not to mention soothing images at 15E. As for duplicating the skill on the ranger I didnt think 2 heroes spreading conditions on a condition heavy team was a bad thing. Elemental resistence is an optional skill, interchangable for whatever suits best, that being said with melee foes tangled up with minions, or blinded the most likely source of damage for the ranger was elemental AOE.
Feel free to rebuild the ranger secondary, or infact the whole ranger the only thing I require is that it has BHA as its Elite.

Even then, you've got spammable hexes on your Ele. I'm not sure if it can keep energy up with Attunement and Shock Arrow in there.
And just wondering, why would you choose 9+1+2 Energy Storage over 12+1+1 Air Magic and 9+1 Energy Storage?

Morning,

Rather than speccing into inspiration, it would be wise for you to spec further into expertise. The meta ranger attribute spread is as follows:
12+1+1 expertise
9+1 Marks
9+1 Wilderness
at 10 marksmanship and with a silencing bow, BHA can maintain daze on almost any foe.
One of the great advantages of rangers are their superior blocking stances. Try [[Whirling Defense] or [[Natural Stride] rather than elemental resistance, you will get a lot more out of it.
Mesmer interupts on a ranger are a waste, there is no 2 ways about it Im afraid. You might as well put Savage in there, having 14 expertise will help with energy management.
Your ranger hero would probably also benefit from [[Sloth Hunter's Shot] rather than point blank. It triggers its full damage everytime when the target it dazed. Again, 14 expertise will help with this.
In summary, Id suggest a build like this:
[Broad Head Arrow][Volley][Distracting Shot][Savage Shot][Epidemic][Whirling Defense][Troll Unguent][Resurrection Signet]

Never tried it on a Hero, but Needling Shot is quite powerful on a Dazed foe. They get low and health and you just spam Needling. Volley is good for groups of casters close together, but little else. I'd prefer a preparation over Volley. Expert's Focus would be a good choice, as it will help with both energy and damage. As noted, Expertise is more important than your other attributes, and Inspiration is not needed at all. Since the goal for the build is to supply Daze (and if you want, poison and or bleeding) you are not dealing with damage. Savage Shot is a smart move, as the recharge is better than the other Ranger interrupts.

PBS and power drain are useles , savage and needling would be nice , or if things go wrong put a res , a good option in my opinion would be to clear all inspiration skills and put out PBS and put in toxicity , savage shot , predatory season ( it will heal you and the minions , the blinded foes will get zero) and expert's focus .Of course a lot of micro menagament will be needed.
P.S:I'm new , so hi all

[Broad Head Arrow][Volley][Distracting Shot][Savage Shot][Epidemic][Whirling Defense][Troll Unguent][Resurrection Signet]
Your post is true, but the skill Whirling Defense is nowhere near the power of Nat Stride.
And since he [i]supposedly[i] has Nightfall...

@Tyla, I micro those hexes on the Ele, check out where I posted the whole team.
Guys
[R/Me;OgUTcZcmTyVCM8xQ1wJQ4w3QAA]
I had this build or something similiar but I found the hero was running into energy problems. I'll take the advice on some off the bow attacks, savage/needling I'm looking at you.
Thanks, off to watch the end of the footy.
