View Full Version : Bodyblocking with Pets

I've always considered getting a raven for my pet, as having a small target could help it out in one way or another.

Then, I decided saving my hindies took priority over trying to keep my pet alive - a pet that instantly comes back to life with a cast of Heal as One.

So, basically, my question is - Which pet provides the best bodyblocking capabilities? Despite its immense size, I really don't think rainbow phoenix would actually bodyblock its entire diameter.

Also, does bodyblock play any role in PvP? (Mainly HvH) The only time I could think of bodyblocking with pet being effective anywhere is when bringing a bunch of splint barragers with pets in PvE. Then, I'm probably wrong.

white bear is massive from eotn. Should do the job. What works best is 6 splinter baragers with pets and great dwarf weapon casted on pet since it will knock out targets and provide total shutdown.

The size of a pet has no impact on how good it is at bodyblocking; spiders are just as good as rainbow pheonixes.

As for bodyblocking in PvP - where ever its done, it's not retarded pet AI that does it, it's Warriors with a clue.

Mm one semi-related question then.
Which sort of pet do you suppose would be most effective/durable for typical HvH? (Hearty, Dire, Elder, etc)

Dire = PvP
Hearty = PvE

Elder = useless

imo that is

Hearty would have the edge in PvE, but for all PvP I recommend getting Dire.

If you have to choose one, I recommend getting Dire.
