Bison tournament

Hi everyone! :)

I want to access "Finish Him!" on my Ranger and have to beat the Tournament to get it. I was hoping people could throw out what worked for them and share some builds.

Give me any build you'd like, except ursan ;)

I'm pretty sure PvXwiki has the spirit spam build, just search for the norn fighting tournament and it will probably come up.

i can go touchie for everything except magni, but that kind of defeats the purposeYou can kill Bison with a touch ranger as well. You just have to either interrupt his form, or avoid him until it wears off.

Bloodsong, pain, shadowsong, painful bond, ursan.

cast the four spirits right at the edge of the door before you step inside...switch to ursan and finish the smackdown.

It's pretty easy to kill him with a beastmaster build.

I mean, if I can do it with a beastmaster necro build... you get my drift...

I did him pretty easily with a cripshot build.

I actually acidentally did it with a R/P build from the AB section in pvxwiki lol. I forgot to load a different one, and then failed at the bison. THEN, i packed [You Move Like A Dwarf] and it was like.. magni was fight ma bear and i degened him to death. it worked.

[apply poison][screaming shot] and [crippling shot] or [pin down] . Cripple and degen wins it

I used Burning arrow with you move like a dwarf, which is effective if you have a medium-high Norn title. Just don't spam it and use it defensively or it'll drain your energy.

Athough the first time I did it I used this build:

Shadowsong + anything else you feel like.

You don't even need to interrupt his signets or form. Just apply poison + cripshot and watch him dwindle. Be sure to cripshot as soon as he uses the purge signet unless you interrupted it. Not sure if I used bleeding.

I would use spirit spam, works best, if you don't have /Rt I'd say anything with condition spam for uber degen. Need cripple for that though.

I'm pretty sure that Stride will activate even if you have Mending on so long as you don't cast mending Afterwards.

No one should ever bring mending anyway lol.

Touch ranger + Spoil Victor works like a charm.

After tweaking.

1. Apply Poison
2. Hunter's Shot
3. Crippling Shot
4. Savage Shot
5. Distracting Shot
6. Whirling Defense
7. Troll Unguent
8. Natures Renewal

This run worked for most fights. Anything that used enchantments/hexes bit the dust due to the renewal. Gwen didn't cast any spells at all because of the renewal.

For Bison, All I did was hit him with Crippling shot, land hunter's, and kite him to death.

I did have a few trouble fights. Most notably the one with the two wallow's. Mostly because I just happen to suck at interrupting. My timing is never good enough to interrupt the important skills.
