on topic: I use it when doing barrage+splinter weapon because it adds that minimal amount of dmg on top. its really good with max norn thou.

Yes, I am the Strongest and Splinter Barrage or Conjure Barrage are both very handy things and they add a nice extra bit of damage if you are able to get several things bunched up

Then you're only hitting one target. Both splinter weapon and I am the Strongest treat each arrow as a seperate attack.

If enemies aren't in large groups, Barrage fails.

Tested this. I'm afraid you're mistaken. Each arrow is counted as 1 attack.

Barrage, volley+IATS: icone is up for all 7 shot
no use of any attack skills : icon is up for 7 shot

Exactly in how many places to 5+ enemies consistently clump together in adjacent range? Splinter + Volley > Barrage any day.

Were you hitting more than one target with your Barrage or Volley?

qft, all you need is someone who doesn't suck at pulling and you'll always get mobs that make barrage hit it's potential.

Furthermore, are you sure the +bonus damage is applied to each arrow, or only the first one that hits/orignal targeted enemy.

I don't know how this was tested above, but when I used "I am the strongest" with a 6 attack limit. (Level 5 norn) I only got two shots off on a group of 3 before the icon was gone.
