Okay, I got this idea, Im not sure if its been mentioned before. But here it is.

Gennerally the idea is to use High dps fast recharge assasin skills and skills like Escape + dash to maintain a high block rate, a constant speed boost, and the possibility (while moving) to block projectile-spells such as Lightning Orb. This could be used in RA and in Abs. Before I test it id like your opinions.

Heres an Idea :

Attributes

-Expertise 12 + 1 + 3
-Rest on Dagger Mastery
-Spare points (if any) on Shadow

Skills

-Jagged Strike
-Wild Strike
-Death Blossom
-Impale
-Escape {E}
-Dash / Res signet
-Lightning Reflexes
-Feigned Neutrility

I just want it to be known that this is in no way a complete build. Its just an idea I came up with.

Constructive comments are welcome, Flaming me and this idea I would like to avoid, and if this build or a variant of it is 'Old news' Plz say so :D. And if this build is 'utter tripe', plz explain why..

Hmm your spreading out your attributes a bit it looks a lot like the R/A build im using though and its good fun I'm currently using this:

16 Exp
10 dagger mastery (really you still do insane damage with death blossom and thanks to 16 exp skills only cost 2 energy per use with a zealous mod only 1 xD)
9 Wildernis Surv

Jagged strike
Wild strike
Death Blossom
Lightning Reflexes
Whirling Defense
Escape (E)
Troll Unguent
Apply Poison

Basicly I run in with escape and keep switching stances to keep battering them with -7 degen and a nice spreading of damage courtesy of death blossom. And when things get too hot Escape makes money out of its name ^^.

*sob* I was hoping it to be original, Ive never seen anyone actually play it so I thought id post it... Oh well, I think the idea is awesome, Im going to test it right now. Btw whats the Max duration for Escape when Expertise attrib is 16?

Ohh and btw, you are right, Troll Ungent would work better than feigned neutrility =).

Yeah i use unguent as a damage prevention thingie before i charge into battle its better that way then to heal up from 60% health aswell i believe escape lasts 8 seconds

Awesome, when I get my exp rune il try this in RA, is it usable in PvE too in your opinion? The high dps and spammable AoE dmg from deathblossom might be useful up against huddled mobs.

Btw.. L in Death Note is awesome xD.

Tbh I'm using it more in pve then PvP but its a solid ab/ra or 1vs1 build, you can solo the tengus in nahpui with it and some other stuff but i plainly forgot all my old farming spots thanks to lootscaling.

A lot of people run builds like this actually (expertise + daggers). Back in the day when there were pre-made pvp templates this was one of em. I think it was called the fang of melandru.

I use this build both for PvE and AB.

12 Dagger
4 Beast
13 Expertise (PvE)/ 9 Expertise (AB)
6 Deadly

Black Mantis Thrust
Lotus Strike
Trampling Ox
Falling Spider
Blades of Steel
Shadow Prison
Tigers Fury
Rez (PvE)/Troll Unguent (AB)

Havn't run into to many people in AB that I'm not able to spike down. Fast and effective way of dispatching annoying nukers killing your shrines. :ninja: Energy isn't a problem and good damage as well :)

hehe, i hate to burst the OP's bubble...

but assasin wielding rangers have existed since the preview weekend of factions. And the biggest factor in doing so was the stances and reduction in skill energy cost via the high attribute level in Expertise...

bar far not new :P
sorry!
