Paragon Weapons - simple question

Would any paragon that doesn't focus on Spear Mastery benifit more from an Insightful Staff than a spear? When I first heard about this Bard class my first thought was to slap a staff on them for the energy bonus.

Would this work? If not, they why not?

I believe they would benefit from the extra energy, but at the cost of adreneline gain (staffs are .25s slower than spears), and slight pressure damage (since spears deal 14-27 instead of 11-22). Also keep in mind that the paragon's primary attribute is for energy management, so extra energy may not be necesarry depending on the build.

Yeah you should not have any energy problems if you include a few adrenline shouts *watch yourself ftw* Really this class doesn't have a lot of problems with energy at all. I would stick with the spear so you can have a sheild too.

Just take a +5 energy spear and a focus, like every other caster class in pvp.

^exactly. +5 energy spears are going to be THE item to have.
