In my experience, doing a me/mo 55 didn't work, as you get overwhelmed b/c the group is too big. However, I think a spirit bonder build should do the trick. I was able to do it at level 11 with my monk, so I gotta think a level 20 me/mo can do it. You can find everything you ever wanted to read about it here: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Spirit_bonding_guide

Can anyone help me pick the rest of the skills?

Actually that build is really quite slow, if you try a Me/Rt, it will get things done for you much faster:

List of Farming Builds (http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=234)

Me/Rt Troll Farm (http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3059565)

It uses a combination of damage output and simultaneous healing to kill trolls quickly, but read the notes carefully because you need to time things properly.

In my experience Avarre's 55 Me/Mo worked fine; though I subbed in Clumsiness instead of Power Drain.

SoJ, Arcane Echo, Resolve, Ess Bond, Baltha Spirit, HB, Prot spirit, Mending

That works, the /Rt is abit faster and more durable though.

Oh my gord. A troll farming build for me little Me/Rt! :D
Thank you so very very much for posting this. I made a huge mistake and switched secondary professions and bought many skills from each one to try out. What a newbish thing to do, but this will slowly get me back on track.
The problem is I don't have some of those skills listed. :(

My me/mo troll farmer is just a plain old SOJ monk...

optional
arcane echo
SOJ
protective spirit
healing breeze
mending
baltar's spirit
essence bond

Just keep soj up all the time when you're facing a big group of trolls. Don't cast too many spells in succession and their disrupting chop won't land on your fast casting spells.

As I said, I like resolve in the optional slot. You can also put in Zealot's, but resolve is helpful for avicara and the troll's disrupting chop.

Just one link to wiki:

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Me/Mo_55_IW_Solo_Mesmer

and it is such a fun build to run, way easier then the normal 55hp, ok it'll take abit longer to kill groups, but its still quite fast imo, and does so good against many bosses.

And btw, the sup runes cost is minimal at around a total of 1200g, you don't really need the -50hp item (but it can be handy to switch to it and un-equip it at times).

Best drop I every had was a black dye + a silver dye in a 5 min run, to bad I used them on my armor, so I'm not going to get rich after all, I'm spending too much money on my getting drunk title :tipsy:

I've been trying to come up with a non-55 way to farm trolls. Though I haven't had much success. It just involves alot of illusion, IW, distortion, and some warrior stances or monk enchantments..

I'm thinking a scythe though for constant 42 AOE damage.
