I've been thinking of switching my Necro's secondary profession to Dervish when I get Nightfall, which will be sometime between 10/27 and Christmas. After playing a Dervish/Necro in the preview weekend I found that the two professions are quite compatible. I choose Necro as the primary because Mysticism isn't exactly wowing anyone. Well there is Avatar of Grenth and Extend Enchantments. :D Soul Reaping seems more efficient for the massive number of spells and enchantments you're likely to cast.
Skills I'm considering:
Chilblains
Spinal Shivers/Shivers of Dread
Deathly Chill
Icy Veins(Elite)
Grenth's Fingers
Grenth's Grasp(Elite)(when wielding a Cold weapon)
Trembler's Touch
Chilling Victory(for the Scythe wielder)
Of course you'll need a good Cold weapon. There's only one inherently Cold scythe so far, the one with the preorder. I'm open to suggestions about Cold staffs. I'm only a bit over halfway through Prophesies and have yet to run into any Greens or anything really that good. I've been running around the jungle in the vain hope of getting a weapon good enough to kill that annoying White Mantle fellow. :D
Anyways...is this a good idea? I've been wanting to trying something new for a while.
Note: This build has PvE in mind. I don't play PvP but would like to at some point.
