I don't know if this topic was discussed before (tried search forum, but came out with alots of WTB/WTS mursaat's stuff)

Are Mursaats and Seers from the same tribe?

Maybe some of your guys might have noticed. Judging from their appearance, they both look alike. ie same figure, same height, black in colour, both have 4 arms, they both float in the air etc etc.

If they are both from the same tribe, why are they fighting each other (well, I never see them fighting each other before, but the Seers do help us to fight against Mursaats).

Thoughts?

It's been brought up but never too far in-depth.

They're similar races but not the same, I think. It's possible they were related, but in my view they split into two seperate species of the same genus. Anet most likely designed them to bear some similarity... it's also possible the Seer's race (we don't know if they're all seers) and the Mursaat were in opposition much as human racial conflicts were fought. For all we know, the difference between them is a different development of some other physical or mental feature among the same race that drove them to seperate camps, fighting for race alone or over the right to hold the Door.

Bet the Mursaat didn't like that Seer's annoying voice.

Well i can see why the Mursaat would want to get rid of a bunch of know-it-alls litterally. I just dont see how the Seers didnt see it coming.

Once again, we've only met one of the Seer's race, called a Seer on their own powers. That is no basis to say their entire species had prophetic capabilities.

Prophecies in GW's tend to be self-fufilling anyway. Who's to say that they didn't see it coming, and in their efforts to stop the mursaat, brought about their own demise?

i know it isnt stated that they have prophetic powers but it would make sense, the mursaat being so physically (and magicaly but that comes with the turf) powerful the Seers race would be the counter balance, mentally and magically strong. Should be balanced unless the Seers wanted to be slaughtered so the Mursaat could be ruined in the future.

Glint is just there to make sure it happens and that the titans dont kill everything.

It's obvious their efforts brought their demise, they were waging WAR. I'm still saying, however, we have no proof their entire race is prophetic - in fact that seems to make less sense than if just that particular one (that could see what would happen and escape to live) had those powers.
