Was a pleasure also. I did TOPK with a pug last weekend which was quite a bit of fun. I'm up for this sort of thing on weekends, the more difficult things that can't be heroed. I can be up for slavers, I have various ZB's on different characters.

Id be happy to dedicate some time to helping people with things that cant be H/H'd like the Cantha mapping in Jade Quarry and Fort Aspenwood or with hard mode missions anyone fancies a hand with. Id love to find people to do UW or DoA with as I never got round to them.

Glad to see someone still playing GW1. Tbh, I started only doing it for HoM, but found myself enjoying it very much, again.
I'm a pretty inexperienced player, despite all the years I've been on and off, barely completed the story on my characters, having never completed Prophecies at all after getting stuck in Thirsty River with one. But I'd like to enjoy a few PvE groups if possible
Cheers!

Your whining about low population and struggling to find people to complete certain goals, I'm merely offering alternate suggestions on how to remedy this outside posting here.
I actually mentioned maybe changing guilds, looking for a more active one helped me.The GW2 reference was not promotion, seriously if you want to find people still playing GW1 the majority are also playing GW2.
If you have no interest in the game fine, others may own both and may want to join a guild that regularly plays both.
It's a general forum, not a personals section.Don't take it subjectively.
Take it easy.

Nobody Silverblade, we'll get you those titles eventually!
I'm also posting that I'd like to finish off Slavers in NM and if anyone is interested in completing that dungeon, they can post here to let me know. I'm hoping maybe tomorrow or Saturday to get it done. I only need to do Forgewight and then Duncan but I'm more then happy to repeat any of the others to help out. Just let me know what times are good for everyone else.

Hi all, I'm kind of new to the game (seems strange to join a game this late on I know) - I've been playing GW2 and decided to go for the HoM points, but I'm actually finding that I'm preferring to spend my time on GW1 instead - it just seems to fit better with how I play MMOs.
I'm interested in getting involved in more things but I really am coming at this as a complete n00b - if anybody would like to work together at things that would be great, but considering I've only started recently, please don't expect me to be any good :\

Depending on what time you're on, I'd be glad to help you out. Just need to co ordinate with Silverbalde to make sure both your times dont conflict. Hopefully the three of us can play.

Wow.
I had great times on these forums over the years.Made some awesome buds who I still play with, had some great discussions and debates.Good times.
Sad to say no wonder it's dead here now.
I wish you luck in game bro but your attitude is a large part of why this forum is dead and not to many care too play GW1 anymore.Who would if that's your attitude?
Good luck with that bud.

gw2 will not help in anyway doing stuff in gw1.
finding old gw1 players in gw2 will be a hard task for several reasons:
- gw2 don't have a real ingame party search tool (6+ months since release and no ingame party search tool, that tells alot about how much they care about their players, and yes you need 4 more people to do dungeons or fractals excluding here 1-2 paths that you might be able to solo if u do it right)
- gw2 don't have a decent pvp, gw1 is superior here to bad there are not many people keeping it alive
- they lied regarding no new item tier in gw2 and they started to add a new item tier after 3 months after gw2 release
- if you are on an eu world you can't play with people from na, and there is no solution for you if you have friends on eu and na worlds to make you able to play with both of them (they like to repeat old mistakes...)
- gw2 story is boring not to mention that you couldn't finish for months your personal story due to arah bug (events chains getting bugged after server restart that were making arah door stay locked)
- no regresion tests done, bugs that were fixed popup in the worst version after next patch
- gw2 engine that lacks optimizations, you find high end pcs that basicaly struggle without overclocking...
i can name a lot more reasons why a gw1 old player will just rage quit gw2.
before saying "go cry on gw2 official forum" here is how the staff there is acting when you write something they don't like: http://postimage.org/image/nhl2yxnwl/, noone was able to explain me why my post was offtopic, not even support that never answered to my ticket regarding that forum warning (the screenshot is from november btw) (i actually like the support issue part that has nothing to do with what i wrote in that post)
my main problem coming back to gw1 is that before gw2 release i was doing mostly jq but after gw2 release it was taking ages to actually get a match. i actually tried a couple of times to come back, but only pvp was keeping me playing gw1 and well after gw2 release pvp almost completly died in gw1 (pvp was not doing to well anyway).
before starting to ask who are you, how much time did u played gw1/gw2 i will answer those questions. 7,4k hours gw1 (you will have to remove the time spent afk on 9 rings to max lucky title) , 1,9k hours gw2 (until middle january when i left, to be read rage quit after i found out that guesting will not allow me to play with all my friends and will force me to chose between na and eu)
gw2 don't realy deserve the guild wars name, they could had easily use any other name
i even tryed to get some friends from other games i play in gw1 but without success they are pvp oriented players and there is not much pvp in gw1 due to low population...
I will try to read this forum in the future and if someone needs help I will try to help. You won't see to many posts from me in the future on this forum. I have my own reasons not to post here, somehow similar to what happen in official gw2 forum if someone wonder why.

Not even remotely true. GW2 population is at best a couple hundred thousand (TBH that's pushing it, I'd say even less.) most of which never played GW1.
The majority of GW1 players do not play GW2.

I'd disagree, and am curious where you are getting your numbers. I know when I'm playing GW2 with HoM items equipped, I often end up chatting with people about what achievements they are still working on in GW1. And whenever I'm hanging out in game, I often check out characters and normally see a high number of people with HoM titles.
I know personally in my GW2 guild, there are have been more than a few times when people have volunteered to come back and help people out with GW1 missions and titles.

I'm not going to waste time arguing with GW2 players. Anyone can take one look at the official GW2 forums and see how blind and fanboyish they are. Waste of time.

It would be nice if we just focused on helping each other out when and if help is needed. I could care less if someone is from GW or returning from GW2. This isn't really a thread for debating. Best to just offer your services, look for help or move on.

Does anyone have "Mayhem in the Market" available that would allow me to tag along when they do it? Let me know here or thru PM. Thanks.
