Last time I remember a rollback, it almost took an entire day to fix only a few hours. From what I hear this exploit has happened for a long time. All I have to say is that as good of a job Anet has done at preventing exploits things like these will always happen as long as you make gold a scarce thing. I would like the old drops implemented without farming codes. People are going to get away from this exploit scott free. The smarter ones that probably duped elite tomes, decent amount of ecto and obsidian shards, rubies or other common things that sell effectively and wasn't dead obvious.

I would prefer decent drops when I farm, that would stop people from finding out exploits.

I lost several hundred plats this weekend and will probably lose more if ppl realize that several ppl have stacks of duped ectos. yeah my tormented items are no longer as exclusive as they used to be. who cares? count the number of ppl in shing jea who afk'ed their titles, + the number of ppl who went ha, + the suprisingly MASSIVE amount of ppl who either recieved new tiers or maxed out their titles. im pretty sure there are more of those that loathe a rollback than those who support one.

hey learn some english comprehension skills please. u know wut most likely means? that means u SUSPECT someone. when u accuse someone, u say they DID do something. suspecting ppl without proof is legal. accusing someone without is not. im not saying u dupe because i know ur rich. having under 30 armbraces can be legit because 1 stack of ectos could be sold for about 4-7 armbraces. however, u dont think its a lil suspicious to have over 200 esp. since the person in question happend to close the thread the SAME day that the duping thing came to light?

If I didn't read guru, I wouldn't know about the duping of armbraces and if I had seen someone selling armbraces and <100k I probably would've bought one not knowing about duping and frankly not believing it possible. It's guys like this that will suffer undeservingly if accounts are perma banned by association to duped items.

On the other hand perhaps accounts are being banned then their actions are being reviewed and the are being classified as either a victim or perpetrator and the former will be unbanned and the latter banned. Even though I had nothing to do with armbraces or any expensive goods in the past week I wouldn't mind giving up my account for a few days if I knew that I would get it back and if I knew that this meant items were being restored to their original amounts and owners.

What about all the people who sold their pets for millions of gold and are left with armbraces worth very little now.

I cant get access to GW but if a person received 250 armbraces which were worth 70 ecto each and they are now worth 5 ecto (a guess) each then the armbraces are only worth 1250 ecto which is like 7 million or so now.

I really cannot see armbraces returning to their original value after all of this.

If you mean , if i were to go buy a stack of someone selling them for cheap because he wants to get money fast and get rid of the evidence, if i would be in danger of getting banned?

I think the answer is very likely, i mean it is then almost certain that i know something is up and would also be trying to take advantage of the situation, I would just warn anyone that is thinking about buying lots of arm braces that they might be at risk, if your buying 1 or 2 i think the chance are low.

Note : I do not wish or even have the money to buy a single Arm Bracer, it was just and example

now that there are so many armbraces in the game, it just provides the majority of anets player base [casual gamers] a realistic opportunity to get one. since thats obviously a good byproduct of this fiasco, i dont see anet doing anything to rid the game of the new duped armbraces.

I hope every single person that purchases a armbrace for what the market price was couple days ago (100k 50k+ ectos) gets a banned.

Buyers and sellers darn well know buying an armbrace for anything way lower, is not right. and They know what they are doing buying them for so cheap.. ._.

Come on, do you really feel there's a need to somehow compensate someone who sold his pet for a mere 7 million instead of the ridiculous amount he got offered for it?

Also, AoT's wont drop that dramatically unless ofc the people who received a 1000 of them for a minipet start dumping them. In which case they only have themselves to blame but then again, what else can you do with that many?

How many of us would want to even pay 5 ecto for one? I certainly wont and while it sounds great you have 100 million gw gold tied up in AoT's I highly doubt that they'd retain their value anyway once you start selling that many.
